Situated on cliffs above Cape Sounio, the temple ruins, surrounded by the sea on three sides, offer breathtaking views of the Aegean. It was mentioned in Homer’s epic poem, The Odyssey. More recently, English Romantic poet Lord Byron visited this evocative spot in 1811 and inscribed his name at the base of one of the temple’s Doric columns.

Informative and interesting day - Very informative and interesting day. Irini, our guide, was superb. The day was a bit miserable and we didn't make it up to the Temple of Poseidon cos of the winds which was a bit of a shame. Overall a good day exploring the outskirts of Athens

Amazing tour in Athens ! - It was an amazing experience having the perfect driver as the best tour guider! You have to include this tour at your calendar during visiting Athens, the sea, the views and specially the sights you see, makes this tour an excellent idea for a family but also for friends to do. I encourage also the locals to try it!
