FROM OLIMPIA TO THE NAVEL OF THE WORLD: DELFOS
Olympia - In the morning we will visit the facilities of the Old Olympic Stadium, where the first Games were held (776 BC). Olympia was also the most important sanctuary of the ancient Greeks, a place of worship to Zeus, and where was one of the considered 7 wonders of the ancient world, the gigantic sculpture of Zeus sculpted in gold and ivory by Phidias. DAY 3 FROM THE ORACLE TO ATTICA - THE RETURN
Delphi - We will visit Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the center or navel of the ancient world where the renowned Oracle of Delphi was located (consulted by kings and pilgrims alike).
We will also visit the museum that houses the “bronze charioteer”, a masterpiece of Greek sculpture.
