As you ascend, you’ll learn about various landmarks such as Filopappos hill, the Herodium odeon, the Dionysius theatre, the Pnyx hill - hailed as the birthplace of Democracy, and the Areopagus hill. Pausing before reaching the Propylaea, commanding views of the Wingless Nike temple and the Ancient Agora await you. The Agora is of note as it was where great philosophers like Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle introduced their significant philosophical schools.
