Highlights
  • Athens - Pickup from your chosen Hotel, Airbnb, or apartment in Athens. Drive to Isthmus Corinth Canal, the gateway to the Peloponnese.

  • Corinth Canal - Explore the Isthmus Canal, a significant 19th-century engineering marvel that played a crucial role in Mediterranean trade.

  • The Diolkos - Discover Ancient Diolkos, the ancient limestone roads where boats were transported from the Corinthian Gulf to the Saronic Sea using trailers, slaves, oxen, and other animals. This route controlled over 270 Greek colonies, contributing to Corinth’s geographical and geopolitical dominance. This is also why the apostle Paul spent 18 months in Corinth, establishing his ministry there.

  • Acrocorinth - Visit Acrocorinth, the acropolis of ancient Corinth, a monolithic rock 1886 ft above sea level with 4.9 miles of walls, keep, and three gates. It is one of the most impressive natural defense fortifications today. You can see remains of churches, mosques, houses, cisterns, and the temple of Aphrodite. This is where Pegasus, the winged horse, grazed. Enjoy breathtaking views of the valley below, the Corinthian and Saronic seas, and the Frankish tower. Visit Hadgimoustafa spring, a fountain built during the Ottoman Empire in 1555 AD, with water still flowing from the Upper Pieriene spring, which was accidentally discovered when Pegasus hit his hoof.

  • Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos) - Known as the Mother of all Cities, visit the Neo Byzantine church of the Virgin Mary and admire the marble plaque with ‘The Hymns of Love’ from First Corinthians 13:1-8 and ‘The Greatest of these is Love’ from First Corinthians 13:13. Explore the Neo Byzantine church dedicated to the apostle Paul, analyzing the ‘Vision of the apostle Paul’ and his life in Corinth. See a mosaic by Vlasis Tsotsonis depicting Saul on his way to Damascus in 34 AD. Learn about Paul’s transition, baptism by Ananias, and his hardships in Corinth, including his ‘judgment’ by Gallio (Acts 9:7-9, Acts 9:10-19, Acts 18:12-17).

  • Archaeological Museum of Corinth - Visit the Archaeological Museum, which houses a large collection of artifacts from the local site and neighboring areas, showcasing the Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman worlds.

Visit the Archaeological site:
Temple of Apollo - One of the earliest Doric temples in the Peloponnese and the Greek mainland, built around 560 BCE with rare Doric monolithic columns.
The Roman Agora - A prime example of a Roman marketplace with central shops, small temples, altars, Roman buildings, an ancient amphitheater, the Roman Odeon, the Glaufkus fountain, Roman baths, the Lechaion road, the Roman forum, and the renowned podium or Bema where the Apostle Paul was ‘judged’ and presented as a Roman Citizen. It is on this platform that he preached the Belief (Acts 18:12-17).

  • Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos) - Enjoy an authentic village-style lunch in Ancient Corinth or a delightful seaside lunch at the Baths of Helen of Troy.
  • Ancient Port of Kenchreai - Visit the ancient port of Kenchreai by the Saronic Sea, one of the two ports of the inland city-state of Corinth. Follow the footsteps of the Apostle Paul and his departure from Corinth in 53 AD, sailing to Ephesus with Aquila and Priscilla. Discuss the Nazarite vow and the cutting of the hair (Acts 18:18). Return to Athens in 70 minutes.

Amazing Tour & and Excellent Tour Guide Yiannis - This was an exceptional biblical tour and what made it great was our very knowledgeable and passionate for history tour guide named Yiannis. He is a great teacher and helped us to connect the dots between the biblical events and the historical facts along with the timeline. This made us appreciate the book of Acts & Corinth even more. Yiannis had a lot of patience answering all our questions but they were the result of his practical teaching sparking our curiosity. An excellent punctual host, he kept us hydrated by bringing us nice cold bottles of waters and some snacks

Specialized and knowledgeable - We had the best time with Peter and would highly recommend the tour! We are Christians and were very interested in learning about Paul’s missions to the area, and our guide “understood the assignment”. We appreciated how he took so many pictures throughout the day as well as the customization of the tour to fit our interests. What a great experience!

Helpful and insightful tour! - Best historical and biblical trip we took this trip and potentially ever. Gannis was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Keeping the car cool and taking us to specific spots and timing when crowds were lowest and walking was minimal. Cannot recommend this tour more.

Great Tour of Ancient Corinth and the journeys of Paul - I was concerned that there wouldn’t be enough to stay busy in Corinth for a full day. I was wrong. Yannis taught us so much about the history and significance of Ancient Corinth and what made the Church there so important to the spread of Christianity. His knowledge of Paul’s history and his time in Corinth was extraordinary. I highly recommend this tour and this guide!

Fantastic tour of Corinth. - Our tour driver and guide Tas, was excellent! He was very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable with him from the moment he picked us up to when he dropped us off at our hotel. I was sorry the day was ending. He took our pictures at various sites (which I didn't know he would be doing) which was a great surprise! He further explained each site. They were sent to me via WhatsApp. Strongly recommend this tour. Has made a lasting impression!
