Great way to see something outside of Athens - Great trip to Delphi with 9 people though we didn't get to Thermopylae (our choice-not something the tour did). We also stopped on the way at Arachova which was also well worth the stop as there are great views to be had and the town is very nice (though small and likely more active in the winter). Our driver was very accommodating and flexible and when we needed to change the timing and our return, worked with us to make it happen so it went very well. It was great to get out of Athens and see a bit more of the country though it's a bit of a drive to Delphi (2.5 hrs). The area around Delphi is amazingly beautiful and the site is gorgeous. A bit of a walk up to the plateau and it's not mobility accessible but the museum is. It's also worth it to purchase the tickets in advance (which the tour company recommends as it only costs a few extra euros) but be advised that the tickets come with a specific time. We also hired a tour guide at Delphi but I wouldn't really recommend it. She was pretty knowledgeable but if you're on a budget, the cost is likely something that can be skipped as you didn't really need one in the museum or when climbing up. You do get a bit more history but it's all easily available to you in the museum or on the internet.

Exceptional tour to some historically essential locations! - This was an exceptional tour to some of Greece's most historically essential sites! 10 hours of touring that truly doesn't disappoint. We had a very professional driver who really took care of us, making sure we were comfortable with the mountain driving on the way to Delphi and the beautiful city of Arachova. He was extremely knowledgeable about his country's history and picked out a wonderful little restaurant with a mountain view overlooking the Gulf of Corinth. A truly magical location for lunch! The Delphi archeological site doesn't disappoint and we chose to hire a local guide to walk us through the museum and the outdoor buildings. Be prepared for walking and stair climbing in the Summer heat if you plan on viewing the entire site. The Thermopylae battlefield is small and quite nondescript but you can still get the idea of what happened there in 480BC. Lots of hours in the car but we'll worth the time if you have multiple days in Athens. Thanks Viator and Ancient Greece Tours and Transfers!

Wonderful Day Tour! - Peter from Ancient Greek Tours was amazing. He was an excellent driver, very knowledgeable of the history, and kept us entertained during the many hours of driving. He was very professional and always opened our doors and made sure that we always had water. I would definitely use his company again. Also the views, lunch, and history were amazing, too.

Delightful Delphi Experience - My wife and I had wonderful experience with Ancient Greek tours on a Private full day trip to Thermopylae and Delphi. We were picked up at our hotel in Athens. The vehicle was very comfortable and stocked with plenty of cold water and snacks. Our guide Tas was fun and knowledgable and did a phenomenal job balancing between allowing us to travel at our own pace but also coordinating the arrival of the sites so as to avoid peak visitation times. At Delphi it almost felt like we had the entire site to ourselves. Our expectations were thoroughly exceeded at lunch in Arachova where we encountered stunning views and some of the best food we had during our entire trip. I would have easily traveled the 2 hrs from Athens just for that restaurant! All in all we would recommend Ancient Greek tours and will be happy to book again when we go back.

Tour operator needs to be upfront and transparent about the fees - The experience would have been better if the tour operator did not overcharge for the entrance tickets, instead of of paying €12 for adult and €6 for kid on official website the operator charged us €20/each person. On top of that the tour did not include a tour guide who could get inside the sites, it would cost extra €180 for such a tour guide. Yanis, our driver + tour guide is excellent though, he is knowledgeable and went extra mile to show us places of interests outside the program.
