- Palamidi Castle - You’ll get to explore the magnificent Palamidi Castle, situated atop the city of Nafplio. Constructed by the Venetians during 1711â1714, you have the choice to ascend the renowned staircase, comprising 999 steps, to reach the castle’s entrance or opt for a vehicle ride straight to the summit for breathtaking panoramic views of the area.
- Nafplio - Descending from the castle, we’ll enter the city where a variety of delightful lunch spots await, whether you prefer the charming ambiance of the old town or a seaside setting with a splendid view of Bourtzi. Bourtzi itself, a small isle in the harbor, was erected by the Venetians in the 15th century and has served various roles including a castle, prison, hotel, tourism office, and even governmental housing.
- Nafplio - The remainder of your excursion is at your leisure to delve into the old medieval quarter, meander through the quaint cobblestone alleys, indulge in some shopping, or perhaps take a dip at one of the nearby beaches.
- Athens - Our return trip will take us back to Athens.
