- Acropolis - At Acropolis you will see the Parthenon, the temple on the top of the sacred rock devoted to Goddess Athena, the Goddess of wisdom, the Propylaea, the entrance to the sacred rock, the Temple of Wingless Victory which was devoted to Goddess Athena-Nike, the Erechtheum, the most sacred and mythical of all the temples of Athens with its famous Caryatides (female featured statues), the 5000-seat Odeon of Herodes Atticus which was carved into the rock and is still used for music festivals, the 3000-seat theater of Dionysus where the Athenians listened to the immortal works of Sophocles, Aeschylus, Euripides and Aristophanes.

- Your English- speaking driver will explain about the ancient monuments that you are about to visit, the ancient history of Greece and interesting facts about historical and modern-day Greece but is not allowed by law to accompany you in the sites. If you wish to have a licensed tour guide to accompany you into the sites, we will help you arrange a licensed tour guide to be with you at an extra cost
- Your tour is totally private. No unknown passengers will participate in your group.
- Infant car seats are available upon request

Go on this!!! - What an incredible tour. It is hands down a must do. Not only do you get to see the best in Athens you learn something along the way. Rene our guide was extremely knowledgeable and a very articulate. The history she knows will blow your minds. John the drive is a maestro behind the wheel, he got into all the best places and really limited the walking. Our party of 7 loved the entire day. If you book one tour while in Athens this is one to do.

Athens in a day - Fantastic experience. Our driver made this an incredible experience. He brought us to the best spots, made sure we had everything we needed, and was incredibly knowledgeable. I cannot believe how much we saw in just one day.

Wonderful private tour of Athens! - This tour was an excellent way to see the sites of Athens in one day. Our licensed tour guide Helen was great! She was so knowledgeable about Athens and its history. Very experienced guide, as she knew exactly how to keep our group on time to see several sights without feeling rushed. Her ‘notebook’ was very helpful in offering visuals which added to the presentation. In addition, H.P. Tours always responded to my inquiries quickly and clearly, and pre-purchased our entry tickets to save us time. I highly recommend this private tour!

Incredible tour of Athens. - We had a wonderful tour of the Acropolis and museum, the olympic stadium, the changing of the guards at the Prime Ministers building, the ancient Agoura and a delicious lunch at a "non tourist" greek restaurant. The driver (Jimmy) and the guide (Vasso) were incredible. We learned so much about the area and the history - I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see this area.

A Splendid Experience - On the recommendation of friends, we booked this tour and a 5 hour tour to the Temple of Poseidon. Frank/Fotis, the owner of the company, was extremely helpful in recommending tours and managing our bookings as well as offering recommendations for Katakolon and Santorini. Our driver/guide Panos was exceptional—winsome, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. We would highly recommend Hellenic Private Tours for your touring needs in Greece.
