Set off towards the south following a morning pickup from your hotel in Auckland. On the way to Hobbiton, you’ll have a brief pause for stretching your leg before reaching the Hobbiton Movie Set.
Devotees will appreciate the guided exploration of the Shire, a key shooting site for The Hobbit and The Lords of the Rings film sagas. Take memorable photos while your guide regales you with interesting stories about the film production. Then, visit the Green Dragon Inn for a free beverage.
After your Hobbiton expedition, you’ll be taken to Rotorua before 1pm, providing you with ample time to discover the city in the afternoon.
*kindly note that construction will be going on set for the Bagshot Row Development from April to November 2023. However, this should only minimally affect your tour, aside from not being able to see Samwise Gamgee’s residence and some construction noise. Starting from 1st Dec 2023, the tour will extend by 30 minutes to incorporate the fresh Bag Shot Row experience. Lunch will also be provided starting from 1st Dec 2023. Arrival in Rotorua will be roughly at 2.30pm.
