Experience the wild Piha beach to the fullest by joining us on this adventure!
Our rendezvous point is The Pantry Cafe located in Auckland’s Viaduct basin. Here, you may grab a cup of coffee or breakfast before we set off on our journey to Piha.
Allow yourself to unwind in our plush Mercedes Sprinter van as we traverse across the ranges leading up to the renowned Piha, making stops at some of the most picturesque and lofty vantage points in Auckland.
Upon reaching Piha, we will inspect the grave flood wreckage before setting foot on the untamed black sand beach at the North and South extremes to investigate the terrains. We’ll stroll amidst soaring cliffs to hunt for secretive routes through the virgin woods. We’ll cautiously manoeuvre around massive sea caves and natural tunnels that occupy this territory.
Expect encounters with local fauna like the Tui’s and marvel at the vibrant Rosellas in their woodland habitat, followed by finding Little Blue Penguins cloistered deep within caves. Fortune may even grace us with sightings of a Seal or Sea Lion!
We will cover an approximate distance of 4km walking throughout the day. Footwear is optional on the beach.
