MJ Savage Memorial Park - Situated at Mission Bay, this park offers a stunning garden and panoramic views stretching from East to West. The memorial honors Michael Joseph Savage, New Zealand’s first Labour prime minister (1935-1940), and overlooks the Waitemata Harbour.

North Head Historic Reserve - Maungauika’s strategic location at the entrance to the Waitematā Harbour made it a key coastal defense site. Fears of a Russian invasion in the 1880s led to the construction of a fort and three disappearing gun batteries along the mountain.
