Hike on trails through fields and forests. - We thoroughly enjoyed our hike led by Amelia who exhibited great patience as we climbed up and down the many trails. The views were incredible and worth every step even though we were surprised by some of the rocky trails. Amelia was extremely attentive and helpful when needed.

Absolutely breathtaking! - I did this tour with my 20 year old daughter and we were bota delighted. The trail passes 3 different bays, allowing you to see some very impressive deep-black cliffs, the clear blue waters of a small lagoon and even offers you a glimpse of the local country life (herders taking the cows to another field along the main road, farmers milking cows...) on the way back to the van. Amélia was our young yet already super-pro guide and was very pleasant and motivating (although visually rewarding, the trail has some challenging parts, especially on a very hot and sunny afternoon). Do wear proper shoes, a hat, sun protection and take water with you. Sounds basic but as a typical holiday maker I had none of that. I do recommend this tour and the Azores Nature tours company.

A fun afternoon excursion - Azores Nature Trails provided a very fun and beautiful tour of the cliffs and lagoons of the north side of Terceira! The weather was a bit unpredictable when I was traveling and they were very accommodating with my schedule and the forecasted weather. I took a solo tour with Amelia who picked me up right on time at my hotel in Angra. The hike was at my pace and I could stop as often as I wanted for photos, etc. Her English was excellent so it was easy to have conversations, and she was very warm and friendly; it was like hiking with a friend. The views of the cliffs and down into the lagoons were amazing! The hike is not overly difficult but there are a few steep sections to be mindful of. Totally recommended!

Great views and great guide - Great experience on the Baias de Agualva hike with Jaume (James). He picked up on time from the hotel and we were off. The rain picked up just as we parked, so we sheltered for a couple of minutes with Sra Aurora, who saw us waiting for the clouds to pass. The views were amazing, and James was happy to stop so we could take photos. The trail itself is not terribly long but there were a couple of steep sections - I was glad to have a guide familiar with the trail.

On the top of the world in Terceira - This amazing trail takes you from deep dark forest to open plains to climbs over scrabble covered volcanic rock to the most incredible coastal viewpoints. My guide was Pedro, very knowledgeable about volcanic activity from the island's formation to the present day. His explanations were very interesting and easy to understand. At every twist and turn on the trail there are wonderful photo opportunities and Pedro gave me lots of time for picture taking and rest stops.

Short walk along Terceira north coast - We were picked up promptly at our hotel by the very charming Emilia. The walk is fairly easy and there are some nice views across the bays out to sea. We booked this tour as we only wanted a short walk on that day and in fact once you take out the travel time and rest/view stops the walk is only about an hour and a half. The only disappointing element was the walk back to the vehicle was along a road - shame not to be able to continue across fields. It was a pleasant morning out.
