- Babinda - Stop for lunch. Enjoy a rainforest walk learning about the different flora and fauna, wildlife species, and the significant cultural importance of the land. Opportunity to swim in the pristine mountain waters that flow at the foothills of Queensland’s highest mountain.
- Etty Bay - After a scenic drive through the art deco township of Innisfail and the agricultural landscapes of banana and sugar cane, the opportunity arises to observe in the wild the striking Cassowary at beautiful Etty Bay. This is where the rainforest meets the reef the ideal home for a Cassowary. Time is spent here photography, exploring the beach, and enjoying the sea air. Learn about the Cassowary and the area over a cup of tea and a light snack.
- Paronella Park - Arriving welcomed by Paronella Park staff commence a 30min guided interpretive tour about the story behind this amazing Parkland. After the guided tour you have plenty of time to explore the landscaped gardens and the museum and make the most of the afternoon light to capture some great photos. Including is dinner across the road at the local hotel where you can experience an authentic pub-style meal. After dinner returning to the park we reconvene with our guide for the evening light tour and spectacular grand final show.

Followed by the extraordinary opportunity to see a Cassowary face-to-face in the wild, we journey through the art deco township of Innisfail and arrive at Etty Bay. Home to the Southern Cassowary, you will likely see a Cassowary enjoying the afternoon on the beach. This is truly an experience that you will talk about for years to come.

A great tour and experience with Simon - My wife and I enjoyed this tour! It was a great day overall with the main feature being a day tour and evening tour of Paronella Park. What made it extra special was doing this tour with Simon and experiencing his storytelling and connection to place with the story of José Paronella.
The extra sightseeing was also a great experience with being able to see Claude the crocodile in the wild and the beauty of Etty Bay was a great spot for afternoon tea.

I would highly recommend booking. - We recently visited Cairns and decided to visit Paronella Park and couldn't decide to hire a car or do a tour. We are so happy that we decided for the tour as Simon was amazing and he's knowledge gave as something we will never forget.
I would highly recommend booking a tour with Tropic Tours wherever you choose to go in Cairns.

Awesome experience! - Dad and I loved our afternoon/night with Simon visiting Babinda Boulders, Eddy Bay and of course Paronella Park. Simon was one of the best guides we’ve ever had and we throughly enjoyed listening to his stories and sharing his knowledge with us. The whole tour was great. I also got to see my first crocodile and Cassowary which was very special. Food for great, including the little afternoon snack. Car ride was super comfortable and really loved meeting the other guests on the tour too, they made the experience very enjoyable. Paronella Park was amazing to see both in the daylight and night and would highly recommend the tour. Thank you guys!

Great day - My mum and I had previously seen Paronella Park a year before on another tour, We loved the Park however we found the tour too rushed and were unable to see the whole of the park, and it did not include the night show. I chose this tour because of how much time you spend at Paronella Park and it did not disappoint.
We were able to stand on the bridge above the waterfall, walk through the bamboo garden, and see the fantastic night show. Another highlight for me was Etty Bay, which was beautiful and we were able to see a wild Cassowary.
Simon was a great guide who was easy to get along with and had great knowledge of the area and park, I wish him all the best.

Must do in Cairns - The tour was amazing. Babinda Boulders were incredible Simon's explanation was very informative.Etty Bay was peaceful and pretty. Home made afternoon tea delicious. Paronella Park lived up to all the amazing things we had heard about it. Incredible!! Dinner at Mena Creek Hotel was great.Simon was very knowledgeable of the whole Cassowary Coast. He was friendly & curious. Will be recommending Tropic Tours to all our families & friends.

Tour Fantastic, variety of locations which you would not see on other tours. - The tour was amazing. Thank you Simon! - Simon is an excellent tour guide with an emotional connection to Paronella Park. We got to hear parts of the story we would have missed without Simon as our tour guide. The day was excellent with many surprising experiences before we even got to Paronella Park that we just never expected with our tour.

A truly great day! - Having been fortunate enough to spend a bit of time in Cairns I have been lucky enough to do all three of Simon’s tours. And wow, what a great final one it was! On the way to Paronella Park we saw beautiful swimming holes and beaches, went on a gorgeous nature walk and witnessed wildlife in their natural environment. Paronella Park and the story behind it are truly extraordinary and Simon is a wealth of knowledge about the park and the surrounding Cassowary Coast. Renae put together an awesome package for me with the three tours. I had a fabulous time and highly recommend Tropic Tours. I really couldn’t fault their tours or their fantastic personalised customer service.
