The best day. - The most beautiful day spent with friends and family; the crew was absolutely phenomenal. Captain Roscoe along with mates Cleo and Cassandra were so professional and attentive, assisting with the young kids on board and making sure every one was safe and comfortable. The cooler was kept full with ice cold beer and water, which is always a plus. Born Free Charters is one of a kind; a company that truly cares and wants to make sure their customers have the best experience possible. I would 10/10 recommend for any of your boating/tour/fishing needs.

Rediscover Magic - What an absolutely incredible time. When you imagine the best of Nassau (crystal waters, friendly people, unforgettable memories, unique experiences) this tour, and this company, delivers. From the moment we were greeted until we, sadly, had to return - there wasn't a second we were not comfortable, accommodated for, and surprised. While I have been fortunate to enjoy many different facets of The Bahamas (both Nassau and the out islands) I don't think I've ever been more at ease while also discovering new parts of this country that delight. If you are considering a boating adventure, which you should, Born Free is an absolute lock for who you should charter. I would be remiss if I did not specifically shout out our crew: Captain Roscoe, Cassandra, and Cleo. I made memories with my daughter, son, and wife that are priceless. This was the highlight of our entire trip! - We would do this again and recommend it to everyone as a family or friend excursion because I can’t say enough good things about our boat tour with Born Free! Captain Davy and Tyson were incredibly warm and hospitable - they ensured we (including 4 kids under 8) were comfortable and safe, and had a fun day out in the water. They advised us that it was a slow day for fishing and steered us towards beach volleyball, turtle watching, snorkeling. The boat left as soon as we arrived and had a cooler stocked with ice, was clean, music was good.

Great crew, fantastic experience. - Awesome time with Captain Roscoe, Mate Cleo and Stewardess Kassandra. They took really great care of our family. We went snorkeling in an area between Gilligan’s Island and Rose Island. Then we headed to an island where we saw sea turtles swimming. Finally our family ended the day on a private beach. The crew was exceptionally attentive. We ordered take out from the Margaritaville at the port which was a perfect addition to the day. We ate hot food on our way out to sea. Great experience overall. Can’t wait to join them again.

Yes, please - Best time!!! We were able to fish, snorkel couple locations, lunch on rose island. Wonderful full day for our family. Our captain and first mate Roscoe and Cleo along with kassandra as stewardess were all delightful. We felt safe and well taken care of on our adventure. They were great with our kids when they wanted to stay inside while we fished and snorkeled. We have used born free for past charters and will again on next trip there.

John W: Great day of fun Fishing...highly Recommend! - Had a great experience with Captain Roscoe, First Mate Cleo and Stewardess Kassandra for a 1/2 day fishing trip. Highlights were a 25 lb Grouper which we ate for dinner at Anthony's as Cleo recommended and caught a 6' reef shark. Highly recommend and would book with them on a future trip to the Bahamas!

Good times with Capt. Roscoe, Cleo & Kassandra - This trip was amazing and I’ve been on boats my whole life. Capt. Roscoe, Cleo, and Kassandra went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time. My grands said this was their favorite part of our stay while visiting Atlantis. Our group was very active and loved exploring everywhere they took us. We saw the pigs on a beach without having to swim with them. Diving for the starfish was magical. The boat is super clean and well maintained! I highly recommend asking for this crew and enjoying a wonderful excursion! They were the best!

High quality tour operator - Unfortunately another tour guide operator canceled on me and my family at the last moment at 5:30 PM the night before. I got in contact with BornFree charters to see what options they had. They were able to get me and my family out the next day either fishing or snorkeling or both. We decided to go snorkeling because they said there was a high likelihood we could swim with turtles. They took us to a spot where sure enough there were 4 to 6 turtles swimming around right in a shallow area with crystal clear water. After we swam with the turtles until our hearts were content, they said they could take us to a reef that would be like swimming in a fish tank. We arrived there, jumped in the water, and it was absolutely perfect. It is worth noting I have snorkeled all over the world. The reef was in excellent shape and there was a tremendous variety of fish. The captain and mate were also thoughtful enough to feed the fish and bring them to the surface for my four-year-old. After that snorkel they took us to a pink sand secluded beach so my family and I could walk around and snorkel some more. It is worth noting that the boat was in excellent condition as was all the snorkeling gear. We didn’t fish but I did get to see their gear because it was in the cabin. It was all in excellent shape as well. I am a fisherman and can tell when things are kept in excellent shape. BornFree is a competent, high quality operation. I will def fish and snorkel with them when I return to Nassau. Actual pics from the trip below!

Complete dream experience! - We took our office team on a cruise and 6 of us (3 couples) decided to do the half day snorkel/fishing charter with Born Free. It was an incredible experience! They let us customize the tour to our liking. We could choose deep sea fishing, snorkeling, or both. We wanted to do both! It was a morning charter, and we knew it would warm up a bit more later in the morning, so we chose to fish first, while we still had dry clothing on. First off, the boat was being cleaned and sanitized constantly by Bruno, who was the first mate. He not only facilitated all of the fishing lines/bait/tackle, assisted in reeling in, and showing the fish, he cleaned everything meticulously, the entire time. The seats, the floors, all surfaces. I felt like I was on a pristine boat! Captain Herby was very knowledgeable and congenial. At one point, he took us right through a school of Mahi Mahi, where we quickly caught four in a row. Everyone was working hard right then! We ended up with 8 fish, and each was an amazing experience! Barracuda, Wahoo, and Mahi Mahi. They were huge, and the experience was so exciting and fun for some in the group who had wanted to deep sea fish their entire lives. Then came the snorkeling. They brought out clean equipment and anchored the boat, and showed us where to swim. I’ve snorkeled in a lot of places, and this was some of the highest variety of fish I’ve ever encountered. We also saw a large variety of coral, all very colorful and healthy. What a total delight! We had the perfect amount of time in the water. Bruno made sure everyone who desired could hold their fish (with a hook and handle) for photographs. He took photos of our group, and they turned out great. These two men were professional, knowledgeable, and helped us have an unforgettable day. We couldn’t have chosen a better excursion.

No fish - We wanted our four kids to experience a fun deep sea fishing trip. Instead we just did laps in the ocean for a half-day with not even a nibble on any of the four fishing lines that were set. I'm not an expert but we seemed to be going too fast. I understand sometimes the fish don't bite but I've been deep sea fishing many times (including in the Bahamas) and have never experienced anything like this. Oh well win some lose some.
