Highlights
  • Highland Park - Highland Park, also known as ‘Viewing Square’ and formerly called ‘Sergei Kirov Park’ during the Soviet era, is a beloved spot in Baku for walking, relaxing, and enjoying sea views. Visitors can unwind by breathing in the fresh air, taking in city views, sipping tea at the Highland Park Café, and listening to classic lounge music. Located in the heart of Baku, it’s the perfect place to relax. We recommend visiting at night to see the stunningly lit stairs leading to the park. On hot summer days and nights, the park offers a cool and slightly breezy respite.
  • Baku Boulevard - Baku National Boulevard, the second longest boulevard in the world, is a favorite spot for both Baku residents and visitors. It stretches a long way along the seashore.
  • Little Venice - ‘Little Venice’ in Baku Boulevard is a small town built in 1960, now expanded to 10,000 sq.m. It features two large and several small islands. The redevelopment of this ‘Small Venetian town’ included expanding the existing channels, constructing additional bridges, and adding two restaurants—one offering Western cuisine and the other Eastern. Boats designed for four people, including a guide, are available for hire. Located near the Caspian seashore, ‘Small Town of Venice’ offers a Venetian experience. The island restaurants serve various cuisines, including delicious Azerbaijani dishes. Visitors can enjoy a gondola ride around the islands and then have a great lunch or dinner. Currently, Mini Venice has several islands connected by beautiful ornate bridges and divided by pristine water channels. You can hire a four-seater gondola for a ride around these islands.
  • Nizami str. /Tarqovi - Nizami Street is a major pedestrian and shopping street in downtown Baku, Azerbaijan. The traffic-free section, which starts at Fountains Square and ends at Rashid Behbudov Street, is commonly known as Torgovaya (‘the merchant street’ in Russian).
  • Fountain Square - Fountains Square is a popular spot for strollers and serves as the natural focal point of Central Baku. The fountains, for which the square is named, include one topped with shiny silver spheres that reflect the trees and stone facades.

After sunset is best - An outstanding tour and well spent 2.5 hours seeing beautiful nighttime sites and learning about the past and present of Azerbaijan. Thank you to our smart, well spoken, responsive, knowledgeable young guide Elnara. Hint: check sunset time then book tour so that most/all of your tour is after dark when the lights are at their best.

Complete lost of time and money - We went only on 2 out of 4 places that we were supposed to go. The driver told us that they were closed cause of F1 but the next day we found out that they were actually not closed, we could have just parked the car and walked there like qe did in the other 2 destinations. The driver has 0 information on the tour and aftet 1.5 hours just wanted to drop us off and leave and suggested we should take a taxi. Do not book, there are many other tours to spend your time and money on.
