  • Maiden Tower - The guide will discuss the history of the Maiden Tower and other protective and observation towers in Baku. Admission to the Maiden Tower is approximately 9 USD per person. Inside the museum, guests can view historical artifacts on the lower floors and modern weapons on the upper floors, accessible via narrow spiral stairs. The top of the Maiden Tower offers panoramic views of the Caspian Sea and the surrounding Old City. The tour spends about 10 minutes in front of the Tower for explanations and photos, and around 30 minutes if guests choose to enter the museum.
  • St. Bartholomew Church - Built in 1892 with donations from the local Christian community, this church stands on the site where Apostle Bartholomew was believed to have been martyred. It was constructed on the foundations of Baku’s first and oldest church and remained active until 1936 when it was demolished during an anti-religion campaign.
  • Juma Mosque - This mosque in the Old City dates back to the 12th century.
  • Muhammad Mosque - Constructed in the 11th century, this mosque is another historical landmark.
  • House Museum of Vagif Mustafazadeh - Dedicated to the Azerbaijani jazz musician.
  • Baku Marionette Theatre - A unique cultural venue in Baku.
  • Aga Mikayil Bath House - Operating since the 18th century, this public bath house will be explained by the guide, focusing on medieval bath houses known as Hamams.
  • Vahid Monument - A monument dedicated to Azerbaijani satirical poet Aliaga Vahid.
  • Miniature Books - Located in the old city, the Museum of Miniature Books holds the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of miniature books. Founded by Zarifa Salahova, the museum opened on April 2, 2002, and features over 5,600 books from 66 countries. Admission is free.
  • Palace of the Shirvanshahs - This 15th-century palace, built by the Shirvanshahs, is described by UNESCO as “one of the pearls of Azerbaijan’s architecture.” Located in the Old City, it forms a historic ensemble with the Maiden Tower, both listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The guide will provide detailed information about Azerbaijan’s statehood from ancient times to the present, and explain the complex, which includes the main palace building, Divanhane, burial vaults, the shah’s mosque with a minaret, Seyid Yahya Bakuvi’s mausoleum (the “mausoleum of the dervish”), a portal in the east, Murad’s gate, a reservoir, and the remains of a bath house.
  • Quadrangular Tower - Built in the 14th century, this tower was a crucial part of the fortress wall and Baku’s defensive fortifications, constructed to maintain the architectural integrity of the fortress walls.
