Highlights
  • Arqueologica de Moral-Reforma - This site is named for the abundance of moral trees and its location in the Reforma area, a small but significant village that controlled trade between Petén and the Gulf Coast along the San Pedro River for around 1,700 years.

Magnificent paired pyramids and intricate inscriptions, which highlight alliances with Calakmul and Palenque, are evidence of its historical importance. Visitors can climb the mounds for spectacular views.

  • Pomoná Zona Arqueológica - Begin your visit with a short walk that immerses you in nature, accompanied by the sounds of howling monkeys and birds, and the tranquility of the site. The ancient Mayans sourced materials here to construct their buildings and monuments. Pomoná is named after a tributary stream of the lower Usumacinta.

Rich stelae, sculptures, panels, and hieroglyphic inscriptions reveal the history of its rulers and their relationships with other regional cities, including dependencies on Panjalé, Boca del Cerro, and Chinikihá, as well as territorial conflicts with Palenque, Piedras Negras, and La Mar.

Visit the museum to admire artifacts such as the tombstone of The Scribe, a stele depicting a high dignitary, a figurehead of the Sun-Jaguar God of The Underworld, eccentric flint knives, a bust of a Mayan figure, carved tombstones from Building 4, and a figure of an old man with a beard and hat.

  • Cascada el Salto dentro del centro ecoturistico Huextoc Natzin - Delight your senses with the emerald green waters and the impressive 20-meter drop of this waterfall. Enjoy panoramic views and the extraordinary natural landscape from its three viewpoints. To reach the main viewpoint, you must walk approximately 400 meters, where the water’s mist will leave you soaked.

You can engage in various activities (not included) such as hiking, zip-lining, kayaking, and relaxing in the refreshing waters. The site also features a restaurant where you can savor typical local dishes.

Fun and Informative Trip - Alex M. was an excellent guide. Well versed on the area and willing to do what was necessary to make it a good day for everyone. The cenote was not too crouded and the zip lines and rappeling were a blast. Good food for lunch and the shops were competative with their prices. Ek Balam is a very unique ruins. I'm glad we went their. Seems that every ruins we have visited have their own special story to tell. I would recommend this trip for anyone regardless of age or capability. Alex and Richy will adjust the tour to fit your needs.

Good memorable tour - The pink lake was the biggest draw for me, beautiful!! Though very windy so plan accordingly! Boat cruise through mangroves was fun and got close enough to flamingos, fed pelicans, and even saw a crocodile. Lunch was delicious, fried fish was the most popular option but there were several other options too. Lunch was very late so bring additional snacks for after the breakfast they give you at pickup, apple juice, apple and sandwich. Visit to the crocodile farm was cool. I wasnt very impressed with how they treated the animals but perhaps after looking at the farms reviews, I have too high of standards. The educational talk they gave was only in spanish which I dont understand well. So I might have missed the beneficial things they are doing. We got back very late as they used 1 bus to drop off everyone from tulum to cancun. If they split people up it would have been faster.

Great idea horrible execution - Right from booking this excursion was sketchy. There is no information about where to meet where the riding will happen or anything of the sort. There is not even a number to call for to get information. It wasn’t until after I paid that they gave me an address. Google was even confused by the address. They did call me and sent the guide to find me on the side of the road. We followed the guide out to the dunes. The dune size and shape were sufficient for someone with no experience but quite small for anyone who snowboard surfs skateboards or anything like that. The problem is that it’s a local hang out for ATVs and 4x4s. There is garbage and broken glass all over. When my daughter fell she cut her hand on some. The guide did not have a first aid kit. The 4x4s chased us out by spraying us with sand and taking up the space so we couldn’t ride. It was very unsafe. I took my kids and left. The guide said we would be refunded. We have not been. This is not a well planned equipped or run excursion. Fun idea and has potential especially in the price point. I am disappointed in trip advisor and viator for not vetting the companies they promote.
