Johnston Canyon - Begin your adventure in central Banff and embark on a full day of exploration in Banff National Park. Sulphur Mountain - Ride the Sulphur Mountain Gondola and enjoy sweeping views of six mountain ranges, the Bow Valley, and the town from the summit of Sulphur Mountain.

Bow Falls - Visit Bow Falls, where the water cascades about 30 feet over a low-gradient pitch of channeled bedrock, creating a short, turbulent interruption in the cerulean waters of the Bow River.

Surprise Corner - Stop by Surprise Corner, named for its spectacular views from Buffalo Street. It’s a great spot for photos.

Hoodoos Trail - Explore the Hoodoos, tall, thin spires of rock naturally carved by wind and water erosion over thousands of years. The Hoodoos offer incredible panoramic views of the Bow River Valley and the surrounding mountains, with the contrast of these towering rock formations against the backdrop of the Rockies being truly breathtaking.

Columbia Icefield

Castle Junction - The first viewpoint on the way to Columbia Icefield is Castle Mountain, located within Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, roughly halfway between Banff and Lake Louise.

Crowfoot Glacier - Named by early explorers for its three sections of ice resembling a crow’s foot, the Crowfoot Glacier sits above Bow Lake, offering stunning photo opportunities along the Icefields Parkway, even though one of the three “toes” has now receded.

Bow Lake - Bow Lake is one of the many lakes along the Icefields Parkway and a popular stop for visitors to Banff National Park. The Canadian Rockies are known for their spectacular vistas and lakes, and a short walk along the lakeshore trail offers a family-friendly hike, with longer hikes available for a more complete day around Bow Lake.

Peyto Lake - Peyto Lake is a glacier-fed lake in Banff National Park. During the summer, glacial rock flour flows into the lake, giving it a unique bright turquoise color. The lake is best viewed from Bow Summit, the highest point on the Icefield Parkway.

Columbia Icefield Skywalk - Experience an awe-inspiring interpretive journey in one of the world’s most unique ecosystems at the Columbia Icefield Skywalk. From ice-capped peaks to vast glacier-formed valleys, this is your front-row seat to nature’s grand performance. There are plenty of wildlife spotting opportunities, especially mountain goats, and you might even see a bald eagle soaring.

Athabasca Falls - Located in Jasper National Park just off the Icefields Parkway on Highway 93A, Athabasca Falls is approximately 32 km southeast of Jasper townsite. The falls are fed by runoff from the Columbia Icefield.

Maligne Canyon - Maligne Canyon in Jasper National Park is a remarkable natural wonder. This deep limestone gorge, carved by the Maligne River over thousands of years, features steep walls and intricate rock formations that create a mesmerizing landscape.

Medicine Lake - Medicine Lake in Jasper National Park is fascinating due to its mysterious disappearance during the summer months, caused by an intricate underground drainage system. In spring and early summer, it fills up again. Regardless of its water levels, Medicine Lake offers stunning scenery, surrounded by towering peaks, forests, and meadows, providing excellent photo opportunities.

Maligne Lake - Known for its breathtaking beauty, Maligne Lake is the largest glacially fed lake in the Canadian Rockies. Its stunning turquoise-blue waters, surrounded by majestic peaks, create a picture-perfect setting. Visitors might spot bears, elk, mountain goats, and bighorn sheep while exploring the trails or enjoying a cruise tour.

Goats & Glacier Lookout - “Goats & Glaciers” is a scenic area along the Icefields Parkway in Jasper National Park, renowned for its stunning landscapes of towering peaks, pristine glaciers, and rugged terrain. This area often provides opportunities to spot wildlife like mountain goats.

Lake Louise – Moraine Lake – Emerald Lake - Natural Bridge
