  • Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun) - One of Bangkok’s most iconic landmarks, Wat Arun is renowned for its towering prang, a structure on the banks of the Chao Phraya River built in the Khmer architectural style. Standing over 80 meters tall, it is the tallest prang in Thailand.

Wat Arun, also known as the “Temple of Dawn,” is one of only six temples classified as the highest grade of the first-class Royal Temples, making it one of the most esteemed temples in Thailand.

  • Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market) - Pak Khlong Talat is a market in Bangkok, Thailand, specializing in the sale of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. As Bangkok’s main flower market, it holds significant symbolic value for the city’s residents. The market is located on Chak Phet Road and nearby side streets, close to Memorial Bridge.
  • Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit) - The Golden Buddha, officially known as Phra Phuttha Maha Suwana Patimakon, is a seated Buddharupa statue in the Maravijaya Attitude, made entirely of gold and weighing 5.5 tonnes. It is housed in the Wat Traimit temple in Bangkok.

Additional Information

The Wat Trimitr is home to a Buddha statue made entirely of gold, standing at 3.5 meters tall and weighing a massive 5.5 tonnes. The statue was transported from Ayutthaya in 1767 and was covered in plaster to keep it safe from the invading Burmese. This magnificent statue was moved to Bangkok and in 1956, while being lifted to its permanent position, it fell from the crane revealing its true golden form. The trip continues to Pak Klong Talad, Bangkok’s largest fresh flower wholesale and retail market. The majority of the flowers here are used to create the ‘Phuang Malai’, garlands often presented as offerings. Some are presented to Buddha statues in temples or in private homes, while others are used for offerings to ancestors, spirit trees, or dedicated to Hindu gods like Brahma and Indra.

From a nearby dock, you can take a public ferry across the powerful Chaopraya River to one of Bangkok’s most famous landmarks - the mesmerizing Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn).

Awesome experience, the guide was very knowledgeable about the different temples - With a sudden stroke of luck, me and my friends were the only ones booked during the afternoon tour! We felt like it was a private tour instead. Thank you so much Ms Kae the guide for all the information you shared. We were able to learn about Thai culture and even the good restaurants. This is definitely a really good tour and thanks to I Asia !
