Excellent tour and guide, average food - Benjamat, our guide, was awesome she was extremely knowledgeable about the area and very flexible with our request to add an extra site to the tour. The car was very clean and the driver was prompt, helpful and safe. The only slight downside of this tour is the food provided is a buffet which was a little disappointing compared to some of the other tours.

Ayutthaya Experience - Our guide was thorough, knowledgeable, and presented the information in a very interesting manner. Each stop was a new experience and our guide kept us on track. Definitely recommend this tour.

A great visit to Ayutthaya - We had a great day with Nate, our tour guide. He spoke excellent English and was very personable. He also took wonderful photos for us, which is nice since sometimes you hand your phone to someone and you never know if they can take a decent picture. We felt we got an excellent education about Ayutthaya, well worth the all day visit and an easy trip from Bangkok.

Great private tour - Fantastic Tour. One Day is not long enough to see the expanse of the old city but definitely covered many good temples. Would highly recommend the tour.

Ancient Thai Capital Experience - Wonderful guide and driver! The ancient capital was worth seeing and learning g about. The inclusion of lunch is fine but the restaurant was not a good one and the language barrier got in the way of a better dining experience. Please consider a Fixed Items lunch for this tour. Too much confusion currently

Really depends on the guide - The places we went to were wonderful. My issue was with the guide, who seemed to lack professionalism. She asked the driver to stop at an weekend open market. I was happy to see a very local market, versus a tourist-oriented one. However, she started shopping, complete ignoring me, and I ended up waiting for her at the entrance. Fortunately, the driver saw me and called her, and she came running, carrying many bags. At the historical site, I could tell she was tired, and she tried to rush me, but I told her to sit and wait for me as I walked around to take more pictures. I was disappointed with the guide, but I was very impressed with the driver who was much more considerate of me, and that was the reason for the extra star rating.

English speaking guide lacked language skills - This was a convenient way to explore Ayutthaya - air conditioned car took us to all the sites. Very pleasant driver and guide. The sites are definitely worth visiting. This company delivered the itinerary as promised and lunch was at a local restaurant. The guide was a really nice man called Watch and we learned about life in Thailand and his family on the one hour drive. However, this tour was an expensive way to see Ayutthaya and we had paid the high fee as it meant we would have our own English speaking guide. As nice as Watch was, his English was very limited and it meant he could not share the history of Ayutthaya with us. We certainly couldn’t ask questions as he didn’t understand the questions. He was very keen to photograph us at every temple to prove we had been there, but we could have done that ourselves. Most photos were taken on his phone and he promised to send us the photos by email, but he hasn’t! I’m not really happy that he has all these photos on his phone. I do think that if you book a private tour with an English speaking guide then you really should be able to expect a pretty fluent and knowledgeable English speaker. Being a nice person doesn’t make up for the lack of language skills.

Should have been more organized - The driver and guide were very nice and pleasant. However, no where anywhere in their site do they say that men need to wear pants for the one part of the tour. The guide greeted us at our hotel and noticed we were all wearing shorts and said nothing (when we could easily have run back to our rooms to change as we were ahead of schedule). Then when we get to the first royal temple, she says ‘did you bring long pants?’ So we ended up having to buy them from a vendor in order to get into the grounds. No where on their website or itinerary or ticket does it say ‘long pants or below knee skirts are required’. All the tickets said was ‘wear comfortable running shoes’. The guide quickly paid for them herself as she realized all of these mistakes but it did not set the tone well for the day tour. Also if you are going to rent the golf cart for getting around the royal summer palace which is highly recommended, be sure to bring your driver license from home or they will not let you rent the cart. No where does it say this on any of their information as well. The sites and tour are beautiful and highly recommend that you go. It is NOT for people with any sort of disability as there is a lot of uneven surfaces and stairs. But is stunning. The meal for lunch is average. Nothing to get excited about. So to recap for this tour, long pants for men and long skirts or wraps for women are required for the first part of the tour in the summer palace. After that stop, you can remove them wear regular shorts and clothes for all the other unesco sites on the tour. No dress code. I just wish their site was more informative

Guide not to High Standard - Happy with the transportation, however the guide language level (English) and knowledge was very poor. Whilst the guide (Wat) is a nice man, in conversation he revealed he became a guide 3 months ago, securing the job via a friend. He has no guide experience. This was clear during the day trip. He knew very limited and vague information on the sites history and was not able to answer my questions. I basically relied on information around the sites. I was also disappointed with the approach to lunch. We were taken to Mong Doo Ruea Restaurant. Certainly looked nice but our guide Wat informed us our budget was limited to 400 BHT for 2 persons, which eliminated much of the menu. Given the tour costs over 300 EUR (almost 11000 BHT) one would think a sufficient part of that will go towards lunch. In summary - we did not get our money worth. We basically paid 11000 BHT for a driver and entrance tickets, with limitations placed on our lunch and a guide who had insufficient knowledge and grasp of English. If the tour operator reads this review, at the very least they should consider a partial refund. But I doubt they will.
