Additional Information

Predominantly, Thailand is a Buddhist nation with approximately 95% of the Thai population practicing Theravada Buddhism. As one traverses the streets of Bangkok, it’s quite common to spot monks in their distinctive maroon and yellow robes strolling along the paths. Given that Thailand boasts more than 26,000 Wat’s (the term used locally for a temple), this shouldn’t be surprising.

  • Restroom facilities available
  • You must provide your hotel details at time of booking, failure to do so may result in cancellation
  • Dress Code: There is a strict dress code for visiting the Grand Palace. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is Thailand’s most sacred site. Visitors must be properly dressed before being allowed entry to the temple. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves - no sleeveless tops. If you’re wearing sandals or flip-flops you must wear socks (in other words, no bare feet.) Women must be similarly modestly dressed. No see-through clothes, bare shoulders, etc. It is also recommended to not wear bright colors

Gorgeous! - This tour was included for us on our pre-tour of a Mighty Mekong River cruise. It's gorgeous and really something to see. We highly recommend going. It does get crowded but really worth seeing.

Must do! - We had a great time seeing all the temples and the amazing Buddha statues. This is definitely something you have to see in person to fully appreciate. Our guide was considerate, knowledgeable, and fun. I recommended this tour to anyone going to Bangkok.

Temples are a must see - It ended up being a completely private tour - me and the driver and the tour guide! Roy was as knowledgeable and also arranged for us to use elevators to avoid the slippery conditions on stairs in the rain, which I appreciated. The temples are beautiful. I was happy to not have to stay for an hour at a temple when k had seen everything - which is what was set up for a small group tour. English was a tad bit difficult to understand but it was attempted.

GREAT WAY TO SEE THE TEMPLES - Was good to go out early as the heat was too much if you went later. The temples were amazing and Luk our guide told us lots of interesting tales and history. She also explained some of the beliefs like banging the gong. We were lucky to see a new monk ceremony and his family all there supporting him Didn't feel rushed and were able to see everything at a good pace. Would recommend.
