The Grand Palace - The Royal Palace, founded in 1782, includes not only royal and throne rooms, but also numerous government offices and the famous Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It covers an area of 218,000 square meters and is surrounded by four walls, 1900 meters long. The palace was built after King Rama I ascended the throne. Before that, the royal palace and administrative center were located in Thonburi, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. For various reasons, the new king considered the former capital inadequate and decided to establish a new capital on the other side of the river. With his royal command, a palace was built to serve not only as his residence but also as the seat of administrative offices. The royal complex has since been known as The Grand Palace. The first two buildings erected within the complex were the Dusit Haha Prasat Throne Hall and the Phra Maha Monthian.

Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) - The Emerald Buddha in the Grand Palace itself is the main attraction.

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha - (Wat Phra Kaew) Bangkok is purpose-built to house a figurine of the meditating Buddha seated in a yogic posture, made from a solid piece of green jade, clothed in gold and diamonds and elevated above the heads of the worshipers and tourists, as a sign of respect.

This is Thailand’s most sacred temple housing the utmost precious religious icon.

The Emerald Buddha is beautifully surrounded by courtyards of countless majestic and all inspiring examples of exquisite Royal architecture through the millennia. A must visit and pilgrimage.

BANGKOK - Maeklong Railway, Damnoern Saduak, - Half Day

Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub) - Railway Track Market (Hoop Rom Market) also commonly called Siang Tai Market (at risk of life). It is considered one of Thailand’s fantastic attractions. Spread over a length of 100 meters, the market is located on the railway near the Mae Klong train station. It is a fresh market where seafood, vegetables, fresh fruit, fresh and dried foods, meat and other goods are sold.

The market is called a “life-threatening” market because its stalls are connected to the Mae Klong-Ban Laem railway, which is a short railway line that connects Mahachai and Mae Klong. Market vendors have umbrellas or canvases to protect themselves from the sun. The shelters stick in the railway where visitors walk and make their purchases. When the incoming train signal rings, chaos happens: the vendors will rush to close their parasols and their canvases, eliminating all the goods that obstruct the passage of the arriving train. Once past the train, the umbrellas and the canvases will be reopened and the goods will be placed again in their usual place next to the railway.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market - Floating Market of Damnen Saduak, you arrive at the pier and with a long tail boat you can reach the Floating Market in about 30 minutes along the canals. The Damnoen Saduak market in Ratchaburi is one of the most popular floating markets in Thailand. Every day many Thai and foreign tourists come here to shop, eat and absorb the atmosphere of Thailand’s water markets built over 100 years ago. Damnoen Saduak is the straightest and longest canal in Thailand. The canal was built on a royal initiative because King Rama IV of Thailand wanted to connect the Mae Klong river with the Chinese river ways to support transport and trade. It took more than 2 years to dig, and was eventually completed under the reign of his successor King Rama V. The canal is 32 kilometers long and has more than 200 branches. The popularity of Damnoen Saduak’s floating market grew to new heights in 1971 - 1973, when the river was full of peasants on their boats selling their goods. This trading system in the area is also used today.
