Join us for a memorable journey to the summit of Mount Batur in Bali, where you can witness a magnificent sunrise from the peak of an active volcano.
Here is the plan:
- From 01:30 to 03:00 am: We will pick you up from your accommodation in Bali
- At 03:45 am: We reach the starting point and our experienced hiking guides will give an overview and safety briefing
- At 04.09 am: Our guide will lead you in a 90-minute trek to reach the summit just in time for the sunrise
- At 06:00 am: Enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee served by our guide as you marvel at the breathtaking sunrise
- At 07:00 am: From the summit, you can choose to head straight to the car park OR take a tour with our guide around the rim to explore the second crater (erupted in 1926), the third crater (erupted in 1963), and the newest crater (erupted in 1974 and 1994)
- At 09:00 am: We will reach back at the base
- At 09:20 am: Indulge in a breakfast at a restaurant overlooking the lake and Mount Batur
- Between 11:00 am and 01:00 pm: Expected time of return to your hotel
- Children 4-years and under are free with accompanied of an adult

More than the sunrise - Well it was definitely worth getting up early to experience this tour with our delightful and kind guide Wayan Budiawan and our careful and considerate driver Kadek Michael. Wayan ensured we had a fantastic viewing spot and secured blankets to keep us warm. Despite our sunrise being obscured by clouds the views were spectacular and we learnt about the eruptions of the mountain. It was fun to step over the rim of the crater and feel the heat and steam. Request Wayan purely for the magic he will bring to your photos.

Highly recommend - Putu was a fantastic and very friendly driver. Our guide Wayan was very chatty and attentive. He gave us options of different routes to suit what we wanted, got us a great spot despite the crowds and took us around the crater to a quieter route on the way down which was just us! The views we're incredible and well worth the early wake up. To top it off the breakfast restuarant had amazing views over the volcano and lake and delicious food, well exceeded our expectations. Definitely worth paying a bit extra for a private tour to match your pace/requirements.

Amazing morning in Batur - Had an amazing morning, completely worth the early start. Our driver Putu Pande picked us up from our hotel in Ubud at 2:30am, he was very friendly and got us to Batur with plenty of time. Our guide Wyan then took us up to the summit (via a much quieter path compared to the route the bigger tour groups take), where we saw the most amazing sunrise. Wyan was great, very friendly and informative, also a talented photographer. After hiking back down, we were driven to a nearby restaurant for breakfast over a stunning view of Mt. Batur and Lake Batur. Putu Pande then took us back to our hotel, arriving back around 10:30am. Would highly recommend, 10/10 experience.

Great experience - Our ascent of Mount Batur with JRO was an unforgettable experience! Thanks to him, we enjoyed a breathtaking sunrise. a perfect day to soend a day in bali! - an activity perfectly organized bt the whole team, from gede who replied to all emails and requests, to our driver pande who escorted us in all part of the activities and also in parts that weren't included (such as the batur lake temple and besakih temple), to our excellent guide and superb videomaker wayan who accompanied us in the trekking and made astonishing photos and videos of the sunrise! trekking is fantastic with also an hot beverage and some light breakfast on the top of batur! hot pool and breakfast are just ideal after almost 3hrs of trekking! everything ran smoothly from pickup to the end of the day! super recommended!

Fantastic experience in every way - We had a really wonderful experience trekking up the Mountain guided by JRO. He was very knowledgeable and gave us choices and recommendations about the various routes and he secured us amazing seats for sunrise.
The eggs cooked in volcanic steam was a very cool experience, and the breakfast at the end was amazing and in a very nice restaurant.
Highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting a bit of adventure on their trip to Bali.

Beautiful Sunrise Trek - It was an outstanding experience climbing Mount Batur to see the sunrise. The driver was on time early in the morning, and the guide Wayan Budiawan was excellent. We were first to the peak to get a prime spot for the sunrise, plus coffee and food were provided while waiting. The sunrise and views of the surrounding area were stunning. The guide was willing to take plenty of photos and videos and we took an alternate route down the mountain in order to view different scenery and escape the crowds. Definitely recommended.

Vouching for Wayan Budiawan and Gede Riyan!! - Our guide Wayan Budiawan was exceptionally patient as we made our way up the mountain. He was not only entertaining and knowledgeable, he made sure to take tons of photos for us. Whilst the photos do not do justice to being there physically, we are happy to have them captured for memories. The driver, Gede Riyan was punctual and had us entertained in the car with wholesome stories.
Highly recommend you reach out to them to take care of your logistics for an enjoyable holiday!

Sunrise on Mount Batur with family - An extraordinary experience. We had Putu Anton who picked us up at 2:30 at our accommodation on Ubud. About an hour drive and we meet our Guide for the ascent. We had Wayan Budiawan. Special mention for him. He adapted to the children and made us beautiful photos. Unforgettable memories. Followed by a hearty breakfast and a visit to a coffee plantation with tasting. Very surprising the fragrances. To be tested without hesitation. I highly recommend it. And ask Wayan Budiawan 🤩

Amazing trip up Mt Batur - We were taken up Mt Batur this morning by our guide JRO who was fantastic. We felt super safe and in good hands with him and he always checked with us what route we preferred and if we were doing OK. At the top we got some of the best seats and he was very knowledgeable about when the best time to move was and which parts of the mountain had the least people. He took some amazing photos of us and put a lot of effort into it. At the top we were also provided with a hot drink (tea, coffee or hot chocolate) and eggs cooked from the steam of Mt Batur which we got to see as well. We chose to walk round the whole crater and take the steeper way down and it was worth it as the views were incredible. In terms of the whole trip our driver was great and the breakfast was delicious with a stunning view again. Definitely worth it.
