- Pondoa - Our journey commences from our headquarters in the town of Baños de Agua Santa, where we’ll start our tour in a private vehicle, heading to Sangay National Park, situated at an elevation of 2800 meters. •We’ll trek 4 kilometers up to the shelter, taking in the diverse plant and animal life that thrives around the Tungurahua volcano, which stands at 3800 meters above sea level. •After a three and a half hour trek, the progress of the hikers will vary. We’ll be greeted with a sweeping view of the Patate valley, Chimborazo, and Carihuayrazo volcanoes. •We’ll savor a delightful snack before making our way back to Baños de Agua Santa.

Great Tour - We did the hike up the Tungurahua volcano to acclimatize. The path to the rifugio is beautiful, even in the rain. The organization and communication with Tourismo Ecuador24 was excellent.
