Bar Harbor food tour - My first food tour and it was awesome. Tour guide was excellent and provided us with lots of local history and excellent food samples. The oil and vinegar store was especially interesting. Was a highlight of my trip to Bar Harbor.

Awesome! Everyone should take this - We enjoyed a great experience with the culinary tour and our guide Renee made that possible. She was knowledgeable and informative but also gave much insight into the historical aspect of Maine. A great day.

Walking and tasting food across Bar Harbor - This was so informative and enjoyable.. walk at a slow pace with a great guided tour guide, Lora. We all loved her! We ate a lot of GOOD food at different restaurants so go hungry! I would do this again and I would totally recommend Lora as MY guide..

Great guide! - The most memorable part of food tour was my group! They were amazing and the food was we tried was great! Our tour guide Renee was really nice and knowledgeable, she also provided some input on places to visit and history of area. One of their partner restaurants (Sidestreet) was not accommodating and sat us outside (chilly) even thou they weren’t even packed. We arrived on time and Renee apologized profusely even thou it was definitely not her fault at all!!! Place is popular so doesn’t really need the business I guess. Food was really good thou.., but, not a good partner.

Bar Harbor food is splendid! - The 10:15 am start time was a little early for me to fully enjoy lunch-treats (lobster slider), but overall, the food choices were spot-on representative of Bar Harbor and scrumptious. I’ve never tasted a better Italian sandwich or crab cake in my life! And one of the best surprises was the exquisite Fiore balsamic vinegar and olive oil samples! Our tour guide was a short-term Bar Harbor resident, but lifelong food industry worker who has lived and worked globally. As a result, I was left wanting to know more about Bar Harbor food history and culture and less about everywhere else. All in all a really good tour with potential to be outstanding.

Decent tour, but not worth the price - This tour was just OK. Our guide was actually really great, but the food offerings were quite small proportions and for the price we paid, we expected to be much more satiated. We were hungry less than an hour after we finished! Also, the tour didn't even include some of Bar Harbor and Maine's best-known foods like popovers and blueberry pie... :( Sure, we had a lobster slider and blueberry soda, but we spent over half an hour in an olive oil and vinegar tasting room. That seemed like a weak filler that didn't contribute and just wasted our time and money. For the price of this excursion, we would recommend skipping and doing something else.

Disappointing. - Too much food too fast. We walked around one block and ate 5 times. Not much history of the town. Our tour guide seemed tired and worn down.

Over priced food your in Bar Harbor - I would not recommend this food tour. It is overpriced for what you get. How is olive oil a food tasting it should not be included in the tour. And the 2nd stop is all raw seafood , not a choice for all people. I have done several food tours in the past few years and this ranks at the bottom. Poor value for what you get. And the 3rd stop you take the food to go , not enjoying the ambious of the Bar Harbor restaurants.

Disappointed - We were able to see and learn about some of the history and parts of town that were off the beaten path. Shouldn't call this a culinary tour as the food was good but not what we expected. Basically nothing remarkable or outstanding. Tour guide Renee talked way too much about herself, her life and experiences, places she's been and worked. Also shared personal details of her late husband's demise. Not at all appropriate for this tour. Can't recommend this tour, not worth the price.
