On this lunch tour spanning 2 hours and 45 minutes, we’ll be stopping over at 2-3 selectively picked venues. You’ll have a generous share of food and drinks, but not to an extent where it hampers your subsequent plans (you won’t feel the need for a siesta afterwards!). Our touring parties are kept small, making it possible to visit the local favorite restaurants and food joints, celebrated for their gastronomical excellence.
You will get to savor a comprehensive range of top-tier Spanish and Catalan tapas delicacies, under the friendly companionship of one of our guides who can share enlightening insights into the history and culinary culture of our stunning city!

On the date of your tour, please meet us 5-10 minutes before the tour start time (6:30pm) in FRONT of Consell de Cent, 372 (on the corner of Girona Street and Consell de Cent), just outside an old bakery shop. Your guide will meet you on the sidewalk in front of the building.

Great food tour with Esther - We had a great time with Esther. She gave us good information about the history and culture of the area and even some home cooking tips. Our tour had just two couples and the guide which was a perfect way of sliding into some great spots and feeling like we fit in, not like we were a giant distraction. Esther was lovely and knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend the tour to others visiting Barcelona.

Amazing way tour Barcelona - with tapas! - We landed in Barcelona and went on a tapas tour with Anna. It was excellent (but more food than we could handle). It was a great way to kick off the trip. Have someone order for us so we tried and tasted many great tapas. Our boys (14 and 12) loved it! I highly recommend booking a food tour with them - but make sure you are SUPER hungry!

Tapas tour in Barcelona - We met Esther, and she gave us a great introduction to the tapas and of the history of Barcelona. She walked us to four different stops, where we had a large sampling of tapas and local wines, cava and vermouth. She was funny, informative, and caring to all our needs. Perfect Afternoon Activity! - Esther was great, very informative and personable. It was stress free having her order for my wife and I at the places we went around to, trying things we otherwise would not have. It was a great afternoon experience and cannot recommend it more highly!

We highly recommend this tour. - We had a wonderful time with Lorea a local, who took us to some wonderful tapas restaurants. She was a wonderful guide, very engaging and made us feel at home. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to to get a taste of tapas in Barcelona, and the Xiample.

Excellent tour and experience with Lorea - A wonderful experience touring some unique and special spots with Lorea! We had 5 adults, 4 teens, 2 pre teens and an 8 yr old and she managed our motley crew fabulously and found something everyone would like! I highly recommend!

Tapas in Barcelona lunch tour - A great way to experience local, authentic cuisine. We visited 3 restaurants, the last for dessert and cava. Little hidden gems we would have never have noticed. Lorea was a great, friendly and helpful guide. She was very attentive and got to know us as a host and took care of us, even afterwards with helpful suggestions for other activities. Everything was delicious, although I do feel it was a bit pricey and would have liked more wine selections. We were 2 couples, adult, one minor. Still a great experience that I would recommend doing.

Yummy, Informative and Fun! - Anna did a fabulous job sharing the Eixample neighborhood with us through tapas and conversation. She explained many local customs, both food-related and otherwise. It was so nice to be able to ask questions (in English!) of a local about all of those things that one is curious about when visiting a new city. Anna made for such an enjoyable sampling of many local, favorite tapas dishes. Our tour included 2 bars/cafes that each served an array of savory items paired with local wines. So yummy (and very filling!). Our third stop was for dessert. And what a sweet spread that was with the highlight for me being the Catalonian xuixo pastry. Wow! And, to top it off, afterward, she emailed a personal email to us giving some recommendations (that we had asked about) for restaurants for a nice seafood supper as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary as few days later while we were still in Barcelona. Highly recommend Anna and this tour. You really can't go wrong here.

Delicious afternoon off the beaten path in Eixample - This was our first and finest meal in Barcelona. My husband and I were very happy that we chose The Barcelona Taste for the tapas tasting tour. We appreciated receiving a short questionnaire about our tastes prior to the tour. Also, we wanted a small group experience. We arrived at our meeting place 15 minutes early and our guide, Lorea, was waiting for us. So off we went. We were in a non-touristy part of Eixample and she took us to places we certainly would not have found on our own! Nor would we have attempted to order from the chalk board menu on the wall! The variety of tapas and beverages was perfect. After the tour, Lorea sent us an email with additional restaurant suggestions based on what we would be doing the next several days. All in all, if felt like we were sharing a meal with a new friend.
