Gorgeous Vistas and History of Montserrat - Tour guides were funny and knowledgeable! The bus ride was super enjoyable even and touring around Monserrat was incredible. If you’re looking for a longer hike, I would suggest a day-long instead of a half-day but still got plenty of steps in! I went into the cathedral and the museum during our free hour and enjoyed both. Definitely recommend!

Nice downhill though somewhat steep hike. - Meetup area was easy to find in a safe central convenient location. Easy bus ride less than an hour. There was a threat of rain and we were offered museum time instead of the hike but we stuck with the hike and the cooler overcast weather was actually perfect. From the bus you take a cable car up the mountain then hike down. There are two very brief but steep uphill portions. The rest is downhill but I will say somewhat steep. We were fine but this probably would be difficult if you had bad knees. We visited inside the monastery, tasted cheese and honey at a small farmers market, and had lunch in the cafeteria. They gave us a treat of a local sugary bread upon departure. Guide Chris was lovely and informative. The only curiosity was that the bus dropped us off at a different location than we started - outside of downtown. We took the subway back downtown which was actually an easy trip just unexpected and had planned our afternoon based on ending up in the same meet up spot. Overall a great day, definitely recommend, and our whole party really enjoyed - myself, my husband, and our 12 and 16 year olds.

Highly Recommend - The half day Montserrat tour is as a lovely experience. The short hike provided good views and a feel for the nature in the area. Carlos, our guide was exceptional. He made each member of the group feel welcome and tailored his knowledge to their interests. The trip is highly recommended if visiting the Barcelona area.

Great experience - Beautiful place and very nice guide (Cristopher). The term “hike” is a little misleading because is mostly a downhill walk. Still an enjoyable day with lots of history.

More of a walk than hike but great wee tour! - Easy process for pick up and drop off with clear instructions. Was a great trip to get out of the city and see Montserrat however seemed a bit rushed and was very busy. Enjoyed talking to the guide and her knowledge that she shared.

No support if you are 10 minutes late... - Our über canceled and the tour left without us. They had a 10 minute grace period. They refused to rebook us. Viator support refused to go to bat for us. We will look for another booking agency for upcoming trips.

There is no evaluation specification - It was suddenly cancelled the day before. I think it was because there weren't enough people, but I wish they had informed me of the cancellation a little earlier.
