Fun 1/2 day trip - We had a great time in this trip. But IMO it was not a hike. You drive up, then walk down a portion of mountain. It was about an hour walk down on a paved street- it is steep and there is gravel so it can be slick but I would call it more of a walk than a hike. We saw the black Madonna from a distance and had some time to roam around. We booked our trips thru Viator and could not tell the company. This was put on by We Experience. I would search their trips and book more thru in future. They were organized and trip was well run. Trini and Chis were great guides. Unfortunately Monserrat did not cooperate with the weather and views were limited. We still had a nice time and learned a lot.

Active tour with great views - Enjoyed this tour very much and thought it was a good value. Our guide, Han, was so personable and provided helpful insights along the way. Traffic out of Barcelona caused us a delayed arrival that cut our "free time" short. So my only critique was feeling rushed at the end to meet for our departure. But that was not the fault of the company or guide. In addition, this was a smaller group that rode in a tour van as opposed to a large bus. The winding, narrow roads up to Montserrat would have been much scarier in a full sized tour bus. FYI, the drop-off location at the end of the trip is different than the initial meeting place.

Beautiful area but a significant steep hike! - We really enjoyed the beautiful views and interesting landscape. It is a breathtaking area. Our tour guides were friendly and personable. Be prepared for a significant, steep, lengthy downhill hike. Even after reading reviews I was still surprised at the steep grades ( almost the entire time) and most ares have slick gravel. Think of toes shoved and bumping into the tips of your tennis shoes for the duration, steep. Water, hat, sunscreen and proper shoes are critical. This is not a tour for those that have any mobility issues or lack strength for intense downhill walking. It is a beautiful area and worth the trip if you are prepared. The tour needs to do a better job at describing the significance of hike.

Not worth the time or money - Bus pickup and drop off in separate locations was annoying. Tour guide, while friendly, spoke too slow and low volume. Hike was all downhill. There was a lot of waiting. Not much info provided outside of boring historical info.
