Highlights
  • Museu Picasso - Start your 2-hour walking tour of the sites associated with Pablo Picasso. As you walk, listen as your guide explains how artistically minded Barcelona had a profound effect on the young 20th-century artist who lived here for times between 1895 and 1905. Stroll through the bohemian streets Picasso frequented and view the El Quatre Gats, a café where he met with other avant-garde artists. See the Llotja Mar art school where he studied, and admire the three friezes at the Frisos del Col legi d’Arquitectes — his only open-air artworks. Continue past other locations important to the youthful artist, including places where he painted, and amble through the charming La Ribera quarter on route to the Picasso Museum. With your guide, use your skip-the-line ticket to bypass the queues, and head inside to view some of the over 4,000 works. Stroll around and get insightful commentary from your guide on the main highlights, most of them completed in Picasso’s early life.

Guide was passionate and informative - The guide, Pilar, was passionate and informative. We really enjoyed the history about the city, and the background about Picasso. This was a worthwhile tour, even after already being in the city for a few days.

Wonderful experience - Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and made sure the group stayed together. Walking around the gothic district and through the Picasso museum were wonderful because she shared so much of her knowledge.

Interesting - The museum structure is very beautiful, in the center of the historic city a stone's throw from Citadel Park. At the entrance you can leave your backpacks for free. The visit is very nice, I was sorry not to have a self-guide which here has a surcharge compared to other museums.

Frustrated with arrangements - This is the first tour of many we booked with Viator that was disappointing. Not sure how it happened but we were booked with a French guide. When I called to change to English (we do not speak French) we were told we could not change. I asked to meet at the museum to get our entrance tickets because we did not want to take a tour in a language we would not understand, we were told that is not possible. So we wasted our money on this tour and bought our own museum tickets. This has been our only issue with the tours we booked.

Irritated - We had paper confirmation for the 6th however the museum did not have us down for the 6th. We had to change our entire itinerary because they had us for the 8th

Did not make the tour - We never made it to this tour. We tried to change the date but had no luck. I’m sorry we missed it. I was told to change the date to go to the visitor area when we arrived. There was no availability.
