Please, make sure to specify the exact address of your accommodation when booking.

Get on the road, and experience your journey to Girona and Costa Brava

  • Girona - Head to the first destination of the day, the historical city of Girona, where the relics of its Roman and medieval past coexist with the present, offering an image full of contrasts.

Wander along its labyrinth of narrow streets and to travel back in time to the best preserved Jewish district of Europe.

  • Patronat Call de Girona - Within the Old Force of the city, stroll down the Jewish Quarter, one of the most emblematic spaces. Get lost in a maze of alleyways and patios that keep the aura of medieval times. It is one of the best preserved Jewish quarters in the world and an evident example of the importance of the Jewish culture in Girona.
  • Girona Cathedral - In the Força Vella, the Old Force, admire the Girona Cathedral, located at the highest point of the city.

Built between the 11th and 19th centuries, it includes various walls and spaces in different architectural styles, from a Romanesque monastery to a Baroque façade.
Its most striking feature is the large Gothic nave which, with a width of 22 meters (72 ft), is the largest of its kind in the world.

  • Onyar River - Marvel the colorful façades of the houses on the shores of the Onyar River that flows through the city and engenders this warm atmosphere of colored houses and symbolic image of Girona.

You will enjoy various and beautiful panoramic views, either from the various bridges that cross Onyar river or from the top of the medieval walls of the city.

  • Eiffel Bridge (Pont de les Peixateries Velles) - One of the bridges was designed by the famous Gustave Eiffel in 1877. The modern feel of the ironclad Eiffel Bridge contrasts sharply with the old buildings of the city.
  • Village Medieval de Pals - Before heading the Costa Brava, make a stop in the peaceful nature of Pals.
The ancient medieval town of Pals, once a fortress, is full of idyllic cobblestone streets and squares.

From its towers and viewpoints, enjoy the best views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Admire Pals’ beautiful green fields, the plains of the Empordà that stretch on the horizon.

  • Playas de Calella - Contemplate the greenery of the mountains, the steep relief of the coast and the small villages of whitewashed houses.
Make a stop in Calella de Palafrugell, a small and traditional fishing village that still remains very charismatic, before exploring the surroundings.
  • Cami de Ronda - Not far away Calella, take the opportunity to discover the less explored nooks of the region thanks to the Caminos de Ronda, an old route used by fishermen, guards and smugglers. From the most popular beaches in the area to the most inaccessible caves and cliffs.
To finish your day in beauty, take the opportunity to dive in the crystal clear waters, before to go straight back to your accommodation in Barcelona.

Private 6 person Tour - Excellent driver and guide. Described to Viator we wanted and they did it to our liking. Even went beyond and made us lunch reservations at a restaurant I could only describe to them because I had forgotten the name.

Amazing day - Excellent full day tour! Albert was knowledgeable, funny, and super entertaining. He went above and beyond to show us the areas, accommodate what we wanted to see, and get us back to Barcelona on time. He also taught us a lot about Spanish culture! The three stops are definitely worth visiting- Girona, Pals, and Costa Brava. All beautiful in different ways. You get about 2h free time at the end to have lunch and go to the beach. Amazing.

Perfect day in Costa Brava and historic Girona - We had an AWESOME day with our guide Xavier! He was an excellent historian and tour guide, and he showed us all the perfect spots in Girona, gave us history and context for the monuments we saw, and took us to some great photo spots! In Calella, we ate a delicious lunch right on the beach front and had some time to relax and enjoy the sunshine and the beach. It is a beautiful beach town in Costa Brava and having a local guide helps! I recommend Xavier and this tour - our family really enjoyed this day!

Do Not Take This Tour to Girona and Costa Brave, Very UNSAFE - I took this tour last month with my son. The tour guide Mohamed was very good and very nice. However, because he does not have a driver's license, he had a driver, Joel. Joel was a dangerous driver. He took/made about 8 phone calls when we were driving with Mohamed on our tour. He did not use a hands free device and therefore this is illegal in Spain. He drifted over the the rumble strips (grooves in pavement to alert a driver they are going off the road) at least 50 times. One time, he had to pull over to the side of the road because he lost the GPD directions on his phone because he was taking a phone call. In hindsight, Mohamed should have told him that this behavior was not acceptable and was dangerous, but he said nothing. Things got worse on the way back to Barcelona. Mohamed lives in Girona and he was left there, leaving us to drive back with Joel on our own. This time, he took/made over 40 calls while driving us back to Barcelona. He did not speak any English at all. My son is fluent in Spanish and he told my son he was making all those calls for his 2nd job, which appeared to be selling things on Amazon. One time, he pulled over on the side of a very busy 4 lane highway to read a text message and send one, as tractor trailers were flying by us. My son also asked why the car kept beeping. Joel said that it beeps when he drifts over the line without using the blinker. This happened continuously. At this point, I told my son to tell him to stop using the phone, as I was getting very concerned for our safety. He did stop using the phone. I wrote to In Out Barcelona Tours to both of their email addresses to tell them what happened to us. CRICKETS
