Awesome experience - This was a great two hour tour. Our guide’s name was Thomas Hurst. Not definite on the last name, but I think it’s correct. We visited several sites and the stories and information were excellent. We definitely recommend this tour.

Great walking tour! - Great tour of Basel! I learned so much and saw so many parts of Basel. I’m very glad I went on this tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Basel for the first time.

Worth it! - Nadia, our tour guide, is very passionate about what she does! She was very knowledgeable and covered many landmarks with engaging stories. The giveaways were a great touch! I definitely recommend this tour, especially if you are short on time!

Great Tour of Basel - Great walking tour of Basel. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. Just the right length. Any longer and it would have been too long.

Highly recommend! - The tour was excellent! I do not remember the tour guide's (a gentleman) name but he was excellent. learned so much about the history of Basel.

Great guided tour of Basel - Nadia is an excellent tour guide - engaging, humorous, thorough, covering different aspects of the city’s history, culture and social life. Highly recommend! The only downside is the time wasted while waiting for the commentary in the second language to finish but the tour page is transparent about its bilingual nature, so I knew what I signed up for. Would have been ideal to split it into two groups, but understand that it is trickier for the organisers. At least can use the time for taking pictures and admiring the views.

Basel Walking Tour - Claudia did a terrific job juggling with American visitors and German at same time. Very interesting stories about the area!!

Multi language tour annoying - There were 19 of us on the tour. 17 English speaking and two German speaking. Our guide did a great job switching from one language to the other trying to maintain the interest in the stories he had of old town Basle. Sadly for us it just didn't work. You essentially walk for 2 hours and get one hours dialogue. Or on our particular tour, about 50 mins. To be fair the dual language delivery was clearly highlighted at the point of booking. We genuinely didn't think it would bother us. But it did. You were just getting into a story and then the atmosphere was lost as he launched into the same story in German. After 80 mins we gave up. I've no idea the thinking behind dual language tours. But with such a large group of English speaking guests why not just run that group separately? We've done lots of such tours throughout the world and this was the first one we've just walked away from. It might also have been the rain but when we left only 7 people were left of the 19. Again, no fault of the guide.
