Highly Recommended - Very informative bus tour with stops for photographs at a couple points. The vehicle was airy as the windows open right back.

Great orientation tour of Basel - The bus only goes three times a day, and is not really a hop on hop off as it will be a long wait for the next bus, but the tour does give a great overview of the city. Join at the Tourist Information Centre to enjoy the whole tour as a continuous circuit. The commentary through small headphones (multiple languages selectable) was very good. Highly recommended to get you bearings on arrival.

Really great option to discover Basel in a glance! - Loved the 'open' bus with open windows, giving a nice breeze on a hot summer day! Very friendly driver, good audio tour with a lot of interesting and fun facts about the history and present of Basel. Option to interrupt the tour for 1 - 2 hours on the way, then take the next bus, or do it in one go and still have the possibility to get off the bus for short photo stops on the way. Total tour is about 2 hours. Great opportunity to discover the town, also if only in town for just 1/2 a day. I think it's really good value for money as well, definitely worthwile doing, getting a first impression of the town and then return to the parts that you liked most in a more slow paced way!

It was great - The red bus tour around Basel is definitely worth the time and euros although Basel isn’t that large there is still plenty to see and do

Perfect place to start your visit - On my first day in Basel it was absolutely pouring with rain so two hours seeing the city by bus was perfect while I dried off. There are a couple of stops where you have five minutes or so to take photos which was much appreciated. Driver was excellent, she even gave a very wet group a lift to the other side as the ferries weren't running due to the weather. Really liked the use of the iPad, handy for replaying parts I'd missed.

Two-day trip to Basel - Very interesting and informative. Provides GPS-enabled tablets that narrates trip in the language of choice. Bus driver very helpful as well. Highly recommend to get the last of the land.

A quick trip through the city - can give it a try if you are in for a short time in the city. It was provided at quite a discounted price along with the Basel City Pass so I gave it a try. The best part is that you can get off the bus, cross the river by a boat and hop on the other side of the river.

Good - The headphones are small and there was a weird smell. The reviews for the building were pretty good.

Not Worth the Money - It showed the option when booking the tour as a hop on, hop off, but there really isn’t enough time to do that, due to the lack of available buses to catch again. Also, turns out if you book through the site, you get a discount if you have a Basel card. That was not an option for us, which doesn’t seem quite fair. The narration often didn’t match what we were looking at. Often we were past whatever it was we were supposed to be seeing. Also, many things couldn’t be seen from the bus, without needing to jump to the other side, or craning our necks to look up. If I could get my money back, that would be great, but I doubt that would ever happen. No one was there, to help people use the tablet, which was hard for some of the elderly, and those that didn’t speak the language. We were supposed to get a lackerly …we did not. However, the driver did an excellent job maneuvering the bus around the city.

Don’t Get on the Bus! - Don’t think the bus is like you find in most European cities — you might hop off, but you’ll never hop back ob. Not all that much to see — you’d be much better off simply walking around the old part of the city.
