- Bukit Belimbing Fireflies - Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu, which flows past the hill.
Selayang Hot Spring is located on the left hand side of the trunk road as you travel from Jalan Ipoh towards the town of Rawang.
Firefly is a type of insect from the Beetle Family. The Pteroptye tener spicies are the largest species found in Kampung Kuantan. The fireflies here ar unique because of its tail that produces light. The light flash by each insect is at an accurate interval of 3 seconds.
Silver Leaf Monkeys at Bukit Malawati Hill (Local name Lutung - in Malay). It has grey-tipped, dark brown or black fur, giving it a uniform silvery appearance.

- As Batu Caves is a holy place for Hindu faith, visitors must abide to the following rules:
- Wear cloths that is not over expose your body, i.e. especially ladies
- T-shirt or shirt with sleeves is allowable
- Do not wear Short Pants or Hot Pants
- Do not wear Short Skirts or Mini Skirts (above knee level)
- Long Pants are allowable

Varied trip within tight time schedule - The hot springs were amazing although we took it slowly as they were very hot. The boat trip for the fireflies was unexpected and great fun.
Si ba was our guide and brought it all to life. He was excellent and had real enthusiasm.

Super trip for the solo and time poor traveller in KL - This was the perfect way to see lots of great tourist spots, temples, monkeys, have delicious food and see fireflies following a beautiful sunset. Top trip, I highly recommend.

Amazing tour! - This tour was such a joy to do! I really enjoyed every moment of it. The tour guide Robert was also very helpfull and very nice to be around with. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who gets the chance to visit this beautiful city.

highly recommend this tour. - we had a great day! our private tour started at 2pm with pick up from hotel by our tour guide Sive.
he was informative, we felt safe and we had an awesome time in his air-conditioned clean vehicle.
-we did the batu caves, Do not feed those monkeys!
- the hotsprings were great... but way too hot to go in other than your feet and to splash on your face so no need for bathers.
- we got to have a sneak peak in a wonderful Hindu temple before we visited the monkeys that you can feed. they are not savages like the ones at the caves.. they are friendly. :)
- the seafood dinner was sensational right on the water.
- the boat ride for the fireflies was beautiful watching the sun set on the water. the fireflies are very hard to get photos of but there were thousands of them in the trees along the river.
all in all- a wonderful way to see the country side and jam lots of touristy things in to half a day. we were home safe and happy by 10pm. :)

Full day and evening of true Malaysian wonders. - Wonderful trip beginning in the afternoon at the amazing Batu cave with a giant Hindu statue, 272 easy steps up to the cave and lots of monkeys. We stopped at a local healing hot springs where people bathed, a monkey park where we fed them. Next an interesting riverside seafood restaurant and finally a boat ride up the river to see thousands of firefly. Our guide was terrific. A great day. I’m

Firefly tour timing should change - PROS:
Good knowledgeable driver
Amazing dinner by seaside
Loved Batu caves and Hindu temple visit
CONS:
Car not good, old car, broke down on way back
Major disappointment was the fireflies tour. The boat ride was done when it was not fully dark (starting 7:15)so we could not fully appreciate the fireflies. There was another boat tour after that (8:15) which would have been much better.
PLEASE modify the timing of this tour so that people can better enjoy the fireflies experience.

Great guide, but private tour - The guide was really good, but I think the price was really expensive, especially because some places are free to see or low priced. I understand that transport and the guide need to be paid but it's a lot of money. It also wasn't completely clear that you would be alone on the trip, which was to bad because when you are travelling alone, you would like to meet new people.
