  • Batu Caves - Batu Caves is a renowned and iconic tourist destination in Selangor. Home to a Hindu temple and shrine, it draws thousands of worshipers and tourists. Located just north of Kuala Lumpur, this limestone hill features three main caves with temples and Hindu shrines. The main highlight is the large statue of a Hindu God at the entrance, along with a steep 272-step climb offering a breathtaking view of the city skyline. Monkeys play around the caves, making it a favorite spot for rock climbing enthusiasts. The caves also display paintings and scenes of Hindu Gods.
  • Petronas Twin Towers - Standing at 451.9 meters, the impressive Petronas Twin Towers are a globally recognized symbol of modern Malaysia. They are the centerpiece of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) development, which includes landmarks like the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Suria KLCC shopping mall, luxury hotels, a mosque, and the beautifully landscaped KLCC Park. Visitors can explore the Skybridge on the 41st floor and the Viewing Deck on the 86th floor.
  • Merdeka Square - Merdeka Square is situated directly opposite the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and next to the Royal Selangor Club. This historic site is where the Union Flag was lowered, and the Malayan flag was raised for the first time at midnight on August 31, 1957. Since then, Merdeka Square has been the venue for the annual Merdeka Parade.
  • Istana Negara - Istana Negara, or the National Palace, is the official residence of the King of Malaysia. This grand building on Jalan Duta became the National Palace in November 2011, replacing the old palace on Jalan Istana. It features 22 domes, with the largest dome reaching a height of 40 meters. Note: Visits are limited to the exterior.
  • Thean Hou Temple - Thean Hou Temple, built between 1981 and 1987, combines traditional ornate decorations with modern architecture. The large temple spans six tiers and is managed by Malaysia’s Hainanese community, descendants of fishermen from Hainan, China. These fishermen would pray at their temples before venturing out to sea.
  • Menara Kuala Lumpur - Towering at 421 meters and 94 meters above sea level, KL Tower is a prominent feature of the city’s skyline. Its architecture reflects Malaysia’s Islamic heritage, with Arabic scripts, Islamic tiles, classic Islamic floral and abstract motifs, and soothing color combinations.
  • Royal Selangor Visitor Centre - The Visitor Centre offers a journey back over a century to the founding of Royal Selangor and its deep connection to Malaysia’s history. Complimentary guided tours educate visitors about the development of tin mining in the Malay Peninsula in the 1800s and showcase traditional pewtersmithing tools, antique pewter, and ancient tin currency at the Centre’s Pewter Museum.
  • National Monument - The National Monument honors those who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom, especially during the nation’s fight against communism. The grounds feature one of the world’s largest free-standing bronze sculptures, created in 1966 by Felix de Weldon, who also sculpted the famous Iwo Jima monument in Washington, DC.
  • Sultan Abdul Samad Building - The iconic Sultan Abdul Samad Building stands in front of Dataran Merdeka and the Royal Selangor Club along Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. This historic building, housing the Supreme and High Courts, is known for its unique Moorish design and clock tower, making it a popular subject for photographs.
  • Little India Brickfields - Brickfields began as a brick-making center in the late 19th century after a devastating fire and flood in Kuala Lumpur in 1881. The disasters destroyed the town’s wooden and thatched structures, prompting Sir Frank Swettenham, the British Resident at the time, to mandate the use of brick and tile in construction, thus defining the town’s purpose.
  • Malayan Railway Administration Building - One of Malaysia’s most beautiful old buildings, the Railway Station and Administration Building, is a stunning example of Moorish architecture.
  • National Mosque (Masjid Negara) - Masjid Negara is one of the city’s most distinguished landmarks, featuring a unique star-shaped dome and a 73-meter high minaret. Located near the KL Lake Gardens, visitors are advised to dress appropriately, with women required to wear headscarves.
  • Sri Maha Mariamman Temple - This stunning Hindu temple, one of the oldest, features a magnificent 22-meter-high gate tower and portico adorned with intricately carved images of Hindu deities. Inside, the deities of the Hindu Goddess Maha Mariamman are embellished with gold and precious stones. The temple’s surroundings are filled with the sights and sounds of peddlers selling jasmine garlands and aromatic incense.
  • East Coast Batik Sdn Bhd (Batik CHONG) - Established in 1974, East Coast Batik is one of the oldest batik and handicrafts centers in Klang Valley. A visit to the gallery reveals that batik is more than just elaborately designed cloth. Syarika East Coast offers a comprehensive experience in Malaysian batik and handicrafts.
  • KLCC Park - KLCC Park is an urban park in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, designed to provide greenery to the Petronas Twin Towers and the surrounding areas.
  • Kuala Lumpur City Gallery - Founded in 1989, KL City Gallery occupies a building that has served various purposes, including as a printing office, the Ministry of Labour, and the Postal Authorities. The gallery features two floors of exhibition space, a cafe, a museum shop, and serves as a tourist information center.
  • The River of Life - The River of Life is a notable attraction in Kuala Lumpur, located near the Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad, the city’s oldest mosque. It is the convergence point of the Klang River and the Gombak River.
