Additional Information
On this excursion, we’ll traverse the boundary into the French Basque Country. Our first destination is Bayonne, a delightful little city brimming with historical structures and a charming downtown that made the esteemed UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998. The second stop on our itinerary is Biarritz, one of the most refined beach resorts on the Basque Coast. Being a posh beachfront town, it’s a favourite hem for both tourists and surfing enthusiasts. Lastly, we’ll visit St-Jean-de-Luz, a small fishing hub previously considered the Capital of the Basque Corsairs. It amassed wealth in the 16th century through fishing and whaling, and it captivates with its vibrant houses, extensive beach and significant history. The drive time entails an hour each way.

Excellent experience with a wonderful guodem8 - Matteo was outstanding in guiding us in the French Basque villages. Very knowledgeable and personable. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the lunch and entire tour

Matteo was outstanding. Very knowledgeable - Matteo was outstanding. Great experience, beautiful places. Lunch was amazingly good. Overall a great time. Lots of walking and time to shop if you want it.

Amazing and incredible tour - This tour was one of the best tours that I have been in my life.
First, Mateo was an incredible guide with a lot humour and so sympathetic.
We visited 3 diferent but uniques villages from the France coast and we ate a delicious typical breakfast from this region.
It’s so recommended!
I’ll came back soon with my family.

Excellent private tour! Highly recommend! - I had an excellent tour w Matteo! It was so nice and convenient to start the tour with Matteo picking me up right in front of my hotel, so I didn’t have to worry about finding a meeting spot. He was so nice and very knowledgeable about the area and showed me so many great places in Bayonne, Biarritz and Saint Jean de Luc. The tour included lunch at a great restaurant in Biarritz and since it was a private tour I was able to stop and do some shopping. I, of course, had a ton of questions which he happily answered for me. He even provided me recommendations for things to do and places to visit in San Sebastián for the remainder of my stay there. I highly recommend this tour!

France for a Day - My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous private tour with Matteo as our guide. Matteo gave us a 5 star experience from beginning to end. He showed up on time, was impressive with his knowledge of each town we visited and knows all the secret spots that you would never find on your own. Matteo's passion for travel and sharing with his guests is contagious! I highly recommend booking this tour with Matteo.

Basque Beachside - What a wonderful day with our guide Matteo! He shared a wealth of knowledge of the area, and we especially enjoyed his sharing of growing up in the area and being Basque. He made our trip easy by knowing shortcuts to get to the best places. Set up an excellent shoreside lunch in Biarritz. His passion is contagious! Well worth it!

All around experience - It was our first time in the basque country and we wanted to have an all around experience with food, nature and some surf. Matteo was a great local guide who showed us all the places and even guided us to the local surf areas. Would really recommend
