Pay a visit to a nearby Buddhist temple where individuals offer prayers for fortune. Later, explore Opium Street and Nanluoguxiang Street, where you’ll have time for leisurely shopping. A visit to a local household is planned, but today’s lunch will be a special experience as you’ll join the hostess in preparing dumplings. A local chef will prepare a traditional Chinese lunch for you, ensuring a delightful day.
- Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Following your meal, your guide will organize a private vehicle to take you to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, which stands as the most extensive and well-preserved collection of ancient structures in China. This grand complex houses 8,706 rooms and was once home to an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 inhabitants, including 3,000 eunuchs, as well as maids and concubines, all spread over 170 acres.

Today, you’ll embark on a one-hour bicycle journey through Hutong Street, where you’ll visit areas such as Hutong, houhai lake, a Buddhism temple, local market, the bell and drum tower square, and both Opium Street and Nanluoguxiang Street. You’ll be given plenty of free-time to shop and later, you’ll join a local family to prepare dumplings for lunch, drinks included.
In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest square, and the Forbidden City, the past home of emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties, housing an impressive 999 rooms.
Post tour, your guide will assist you in getting a taxi back to your hotel, however, the fare will be at your own expense.
