- Beijing - Your personal escort will meet you in the hotel lobby, and you’ll be transported in a clean, air-conditioned vehicle to the Lama Temple. The pickup time will be determined by your preference and the location of your hotel; we will reach out to you beforehand to inform you of the exact pickup time.
- Lama Temple (Yonghegong) - The journey begins at the Yonghegong Lama Temple, the most expansive and well-maintained Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Beijing. As you traverse the central path, take in the temple’s architecture and art. The complex features five primary halls, each separated by its own courtyard. Admire the various representations of Buddha housed within these halls, including the towering Maitreya Buddha statue, which was sculpted from a single block of White Sandalwood and held a Guinness World Record in 1993. Throughout the tour, your personal guide will provide insights into the history and culture of Buddhism.
- Temple of Confucius and Guozijian Museum - Located just a short five-minute walk from the Lama Temple, you’ll visit the Beijing Confucian Temple and the Imperial Academy, established during the Yuan Dynasty in the 14th century. Your guide will discuss the profound impact of Confucianism on Chinese society over thousands of years. Additionally, if you’re curious about how the Chinese government has managed the COVID-19 pandemic, your guide will be pleased to share insights into the cultural aspects of this topic.
- Beijing - Once the tour concludes, your guide will assist you in hailing a taxi or arranging a personal Uber (at your own expense), allowing you to return to your hotel or travel to any destination of your choosing.
