Highlights
  • Beijing - Your private English-speaking driver will greet you in the hotel lobby and take you in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Pickup time is flexible based on your request and hotel location. We will contact you in advance to confirm the exact pickup time.
  • Longqing Gorge - The scenery here is reminiscent of the Li River in Guilin, but the water is much clearer. Upon arrival, the first sight is the Longqing Dam, a seventy-meter-high structure nestled between hills. From the dam, you can admire the picturesque scenery of hills and white clouds reflected in the deep green water. To access the dam, use the elevator inside an artificial dragon, which is 258 meters (846 feet) long and ascends to a height of 90 meters. After descending from the dam, enjoy a cruise along the river to take in the stunning views of forested steep cliffs and bare limestone formations shaped by natural water erosion. Please note: This is a self-guided tour, and your driver will not accompany you inside.
  • Olympic Park - Drive past
  • Niaochao National Stadium - Drive past
  • Beijing - After your exploration, your driver will take you back to the hotel. If you wish to have lunch, inform your driver, and they will recommend restaurants based on your preferences.

Amazing place - Our tour guide, Ma, was the nicest friendliest guide we could ask for. It was just my fiance and myself so it was a private tour. After he got us up there he showed us how to get tickets for the shuttle to take us to the entrance, he came with us with the shuttle driver. Then helped us get the tickets to go into the Gorge and then went in with us and showed us where we needed to go and then we were on our own... The Gorge itself is amazing and spectacular. We went during the week so there were activities like bungee jumping and zip lines that weren't open (but at our age we woudln't have done those things anyway). The dragon escalator to go up to the boat ramps was out of order on the day we went so it is a little bit of a hike through tunnels so at least it was cool in there and not as hot as outside. Overall, we spent about 3.5 hours there taking photos and taking in the breath taking scenery. Well worth it and highly recommended...
