Fantastic tour with a knowledgeable, entertaining tour guides - Edward, and our driver Mr Xia, were fantastic! Picked us up promptly, even when there was a misunderstanding of where our hostel was located, and got us to the Great Wall nice and early to beat the crowds. Edward's knowledge of the history of the Great Wall, and of China generally, was fantastic - he had an in-depth answer for all of our questions which was great. The Summer Palace was also fantastic, and again included a lovely guided tour jam-packed with lots of knowledge throughout. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

A wonderful tour! - Our guide Edward and our driver Mr. Xia did an amazing job. They contacted us in advance and suggested time rescheduling (basically and earlier start) to make the most of our visit and to avoid traffic. Because of that, we walked around the Great Wall with very few people around and we appreciated their advice a lot. They gave us a lot of information, they were very friendly and they made some extra stops along our route that we weren't expecting but we're really cool. The car was great, we had plenty of water and the meal they chose was soo tasty. We definitely recommend this tour to make the most of your time and also to see things that by yourself you usually wouldn't be able to. By the end of our visit they also helped us to book the entrance tickets to other places that, due to the language barrier we were struggling to.

Exceptional Family Tour (Private Tour) with Discover Beijing Tours - We took an all-inclusive Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace trip with Discover Beijing Tour on May 30th, 2024, as a private tour for our family of four. The trip was incredibly well-organized and planned. Linda, our tour guide, was excellent. She meticulously planned the trip well in advance, ensuring that there were no hiccups along the way. Our son uses a wheelchair, and we were amazed at the lengths Linda went to check on wheelchair accessibility, making sure our son and the rest of us got to and from Mutianyu Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven smoothly with minimal walking. Linda coordinated seamlessly with the driver, so no time was wasted. Mutianyu Great Wall via cable car was outstanding. This was my second trip to the Great Wall, the first being at Badaling, and I must say the views at Mutianyu were exceptional. What we really liked was the significantly fewer crowds compared to Badaling. The scenic views and fresh air were inviting and phenomenal. Similarly, we were guided smoothly through the Summer Palace. At both locations, Linda provided us with rich historic overviews. Her English is excellent, and we appreciated her calm and gentle demeanor—always soft-spoken and professional. Whenever we needed something, she offered very good suggestions. She also helped us with family picture taking and offered many good suggestions. Meals were included in our private tour package, and the restaurant choices were excellent. Initially, we were worried our teens might not like the food, but Linda picked the right restaurants and ordered dishes that our teens loved. We had our first taste of good dumplings and homemade tofu and many other delicious Beijing cuisine. Thank you, Linda, and our dear driver from Discover Beijing Tours, for making this trip so memorable. A special mention to Ye Qing from Discover Beijing Tours, who coordinated the itinerary for us. She speaks and writes excellent English, and her responses over email, WhatsApp, and WeChat were very clear and prompt. I was comfortable signing up for the tour packages with her, and the payment via Alipay+ was easy. I have contacted her directly from trip advisor link as we needed some customization of the tour package. She was the best among the few companies I contacted. The pricing was reasonable and fair and the quality received was excellent. I will definitely go back to Ye Qing for future bookings in Beijing and other cities in China. Intensive experience worth recommending - I am very satisfied both from the experience and the guide - Lisa Chen. We managed to get to the Great Wall without crowds. Not only experienced wonderful views and taken nice photos, but also tried the tea ceremony and great Chinese lunch.

Completely worth it! - We had the best time on this tour with our best tour guide, Kevin! Kevin is quick to know his customers tastes and preferences and changes the plan based on their interests and likings! Even though the day was rainy, he really accommodated to all of us and we were so grateful he was our tour guide. Thank you Kevin!

Fantastic tour - The tour of the Great Wall and the Summer Palace was excellent. Kevin was an amazing tour guide. He was entertaining, had lots of information and stories to tell about the places we visited, and was very attentive to our needs. A couple of people in our group were in their 70s and he took extra care to ensure they were well taken care of. Kevin knew all the best places to take photos and made sure we had an enjoyable time. Our driver was also very attentive, safe and friendly. We got plenty of cold bottled water during the tour to keep us cool and hydrated on a warm day. Thank you Kevin, we would definitely take a tour with you again, we had such a good time.

Great day with Susan - This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to China. This was our second tour with Discover Beijing. They do a great job. Susan was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable, helpful and kind.

Must see sites with a great tour guide - First of all there were only 2 of us. Our tour guide Mr Huang was very knowledgeable and truly enjoyed bringing us around. We started at the Summer Palace where Mr Huang gave us a very thorough explanation of the history of the Palace and the politics of the era. It was followed by lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we climbed up the steep and uneven steps of the Great Wall at the Mutianyu section which was tiring but a truly inspiring view from up the tallest tower. The sites are a MUST SEE in my book and I recommend this tour which was made a whole lot better by our tour guide Mr Huang.

Amazing! - Great tour overall! Cindy was a great tour guide and we had a great time. Transportation and driver was amazing and so easy.
