  • Nanluoguxiang - Meet your friendly private guide at 10:00am or 2:00pm in your hotel lobby. Then, you’ll be taken to the Hutong area. Stroll through the bustling Nanluoguxiang and explore fascinating Beijing Narrow Hutongs like Yu’er Hutong, Mao’er Hutong, and Baochao Hutong. You’ll find numerous boutique stores and snacks along the way. Your guide will introduce you to milk tea with pearls, red bean desserts, local delicacies like mantou steamed buns, or even BBQ lamb (at your own expense). Then, enjoy authentic Beijing-style dim sum or potstickers.
  • Yu’er Hutong - An authentic Beijing Hutong for local residents by the Jade River. The east end features beautiful canals, bridges, and trendy courtyards. It is also part of the ancient grand canal connecting Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou. It’s nicknamed the “Venice of Beijing.”
  • Mao’er Hutong - The Last Emperor’s empress lived here for a while after the Royal family was driven out of the Forbidden City. This charming Hutong boasts beautiful courtyards and locust trees.
  • Bell and Drum Towers - Continue your tour to the Bell and Drum Towers to watch the drum performance. If the Drum Tower is closed, your tour guide will refund the entrance fee. Stroll along Yandai Xie Street, Back Lakes (Houhai), Shichahai Scenic Resort, Hou Lake, Yinding Bridge (money bridge), and Jinding Bridge. Admire the newly renovated courtyards along the Jade River.
  • Wuyutai Tea Shop (Wangfujing) - If you’re a tea drinker, treat yourself to the best Jasmine Tea, Chrysanthemum Tea, Green Tea, or Oolong tea at Beijing’s popular Wuyutai Tea Shop.
  • Yandai Xie Street - Beijing’s oldest commercial street, lined with traditional-style stone buildings housing charming souvenir and handicraft shops.
  • Back Lakes (Hou Hai) - This area of Beijing features some of the most extensive old hutong neighborhoods and the three lakes of Xihai, Houhai, and Qianhai. It’s the trendiest area for nightlife.
  • Yinding Bridge - Also known as the money bridge, it was designed to resemble an ancient Chinese ingot. It’s the busiest bridge in the Hutong area, with a lively atmosphere day and night. The transition from day to night is fascinating.
  • Shichahai Scenic Resort - Enjoy fabulous lake views with lively hutongs, restaurants, bars, and cafes.

A hutang adventure - Aaron was our excellent guide. He picked us up promptly, started with a tour of the bell and drum towers, then led us into the hutang neighborhoods. He was full of interesting information - with an eye for detail and history. He rounded off the experience with an absolutely delicious dumpling meal, where he personally served us as a consummate host. I recommend this tour highly.

A Great Beijing Experience - Maggie was amazing! She was friendly and informative. She showed us an authentic side of Beijing Hutongs that we didn't know about. She was funny and friendly. She took lots of pictures for us and showed us where to get good snacks and dinner.

Amazing Beijing tour! - I had the most wonderful tour with Maggie! She personalized my tour to my interests and was so knowledgeable about every single question I asked! Before this tour, I had only seen the larger shopping areas in Beijing (I was only there for 24 hours) so she completely changed my impression of Beijing!! When I return to China, I will 100% do another tour with Sunflower, but most specifically with Maggie! Truly, you won't regret it!

Beautiful Finale to my Beijing Trip! - This was my second tour through Sunflower during during a trip to Beijing on business. Miss Lina was a fantastic guide! She truly allowed for a customized tour and gave so many interesting details about the Hutong past and present. I wanted to spend time shopping, so she arranged to incorporate that into our tour. We had fun bargaining with the vendors! The lunch we had was excellent. Even though I took the tour solo, it never felt lonely or awkward. It was like being shown around by an old friend. I highly recommend Miss Lina and Sunflower tours!

Excellent tour of Beijing, highly recommended - The walking tour of Beijing we had with Miss Lina was excellent, she was able to speak English well and was well organized and very helpful with everything during the tour. Overall, we would highly recommend this tour for anyone traveling to China now that the country has reopened after 3 years. This tour is great in that you get a feel for the life of this massive historical city and it’s culture.

Absolutely the best! - My friend and I visited Beijing in November and booked private tours with Sunflower and had an absolutely wonderful vacation. Sunflower is (without a doubt) the absolute best tour guide I have ever experienced and would recommend 100%. Sunflower is incredibly knowledgeable and I left learning so much history about the city and feeling like I visited Beijing as a local. She also offered to constantly take our photos which was so helpful, like having a personal photographer with us at all times. Sunflower arranged everything making travel planning less stressful and so easy. I WILL be booking with Sunflower when I visit China again.

Amazing Day - My husband, I and our 10 year old daughter had the best day with Sunflower and Miss Maggie. We were spoilt to have 2 tour guides! Firstly Sunflower made contact with us 3 days prior to our tour and was most informative about weather conditions, what to wear and pick up time from our hotel etc. We travelled in a nice car to the Hutongs where we started our walking tour. The girls were so vibrant, informative and great fun. My 10 year old daughter was in awe of them and they were so engaging with her. The Hutongs is a great place well worth a visit. We learned about the history of the Hutongs, visited back streets, saw how people live nowadays and did in the past. We had a beautiful traditional meal with the girls - a feast at ‘Mr Shi’ restaurant. We had great fun shopping and the girls took us to everything from backstreet markets to Main Street shoe shops!!! We visited the drum tower - this was a lovely experience and saw a most interesting traditional drumming performance. The girls went over and above for us - our tour went for a lot longer than the allotted 4 hours! At the end of the tour the girls escorted us in another nice car back to our hotel. It was a memorable day and one we as a family will remember fondly. I only wished I had booked all our tours in Beijing with Sunflower tours. I would highly recommend Sunflower tours. If possible we would give this tour a 100 stars! 🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️

a full day with Sunflower - Sunflower and her driver were amazing!! We had an incredible overview of so many places in Bejing when we visited. Sunflower shared so much information about her country and went beyond what the tour outlined. We extended our tour to a full day as we found that we wanted to see and learn more. Book your tour with Sunflower - it will be fabulous!

Hutong Walking Tour - My husband and I had the best tour guide in Beijing: Sunflower. She met us at our hotel and immediately informed us that it was going to be a very cold day. She advised us to layered up and thank God for her advice, it was freezing! Sunflower immediately told us what we were going to be doing and the places we would see. She is so knowledgeable! She took us around the neighborhood and the river providing us with interesting facts about everything we saw. She took us to hidden places just known to locals. We visited many souvenir stores and local markets where we saw how dumplings were made and tried different foods. It was very interesting and the food was delicious. She took tons of pictures which she gave to us at the end of the tour. Sunflower is very friendly and her English is excellent! We highly recommend her and will be booking her again when we return to Beijing. Excellent service without a doubt!
