Thank You Stevie! - Cannot sum up how important it is to take this tour when coming to Belfast. Stevie did an amazing job at making us feel welcome. Clean fresh vehicles. Stevie was an elegant story teller keeping you listening until the very end before dropping the hammer. No bias at all. Stopped at great locations. One of the best historical, rather the best living history tours, we’ve ever taken. Essential to better understanding Belfast, Northern Ireland, and many of todays current conflicts. Thank you Stevie!

Really interesting and great day out - We had an informative tour in the taxi. We had arrived to the pick up point early (it's good to be on time!) and while we were happy to wait, another taxi driver phoned the office to check who would be taking us and gave us an update. We ultimately ended up starting our tour a bit earlier. Our excellent driver made us feel welcomed and very comfortable and he answered all of our questions. It was great to learn more about the history, beyond the bare basics we knew at the beginning. There was plenty of time for discussion and questions, and we were never made to feel silly asking things. We chose to go to Crumlin Road Gaol which was also great! Lots to learn there too, although I personally found it to be a touch creepy at parts. You get a map at the start and follow the arrows around the jail learning from signage or videos throughout. That means you can take it in at your own pace, which we enjoyed. You do have to make your own way back to the city centre but this was clear on the taxi booking website before we booked and our taxi driver informed us of ways to get back before he left us to explore the jail. Though not an issue, it would be good to be able to amend bookings online. I had accidentally booked for 1 person, not 2 and had messaged to ask if my booking should be amended. I didn't get a reply, but it wasn't a problem on the day so I didn't feel the need to follow this up.

Amazing! - We had a great couple of hours with our cabbie Thomas. He brought a real personal element to the tour making it so much more than modern history. This is an absolute must when you are in Belfast

A Must Do in Belfast - Thomas is an excellent tour guide. So knowledgeable and told both sides' stories equally well. Tour was particularly meaningful for my husband - his grandparents were from West Belfast. Tomas even took us yo his grandfather's street in Shankill. Highly recommend and ask for Thomas!

Eye opening tour - Learning about the peace wall and gates and that the conflict endures to the present. A wonderful experience with an amazing guide. We also enjoyed the Goil Experience.

A really enjoyable and informative tour - Tucker drove 6 of us around the main places to see in Belfast in a very comfortable vehicle, with water provided. We stopped at various points to take photos and to learn more about the places and events that happened in them. It was really informative and Tucker was great fun and a great communicator. I’d recommend this tour, and Tucker in particular, to anyone who wants to learn more about the Troubles from both POV.

Black Taxi Tour- A Don't Miss! - This tour was the highlight of my time in Belfast. I booked online w/o difficulty. I chose to walk to the pickup location at the corner of the City Hall which was very convenient. (One could also arrange for hotel pickup.) Several cabs were waiting. There is someone in charge who is sorting out tourists and drivers- easy for all. My driver was Danny. He was amazing. Very genuine and informative, including first hand knowledge having lived in the area for 6 decades. I happened to be the only client (my friend cancelled last minute). This gave me the opportunity for lots of questions! Danny was truly engaged and the conversation never lapsed. We got out of the cab for close-up looks at several spots. Danny stopped anytime I asked. The neighborhoods, the murals and the peace wall tell a story I knew very little about. A great history lesson. The gaol was an interesting experience. Again, lots of history. Be sure and have lunch and a pint (wine and soft drinks available) in the restaurant. I did to break up the cab tour from the gaol tour. Great food! Be aware there is no arranged tranportation from the gaol. However the receptionist can call a taxi or it is a short walk to Belfast City Centre. I did the walk and saw a lot of the city I would have missed.

Fantastic tour and amazing way to learn about Belfast and the troubles - We can’t praise the tour we did with Caolan enough, we’ve told everyone about it. Fantastic to hear all the information he gave us, it just kept coming! He’s clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about his job. If anyone is considering going to Belfast this tourist must.
