Fantastic Tour guided by Jeff - Our tour was guided by Jefferson (Jeff) who in itself, turned out to be a very interesting person.   We couldn't decide whether to do the Howler Monkey or Altun Ha along with the Cave Tubing.   Since there were only 2 of us on our tour, Jeff made a phone call and said we could do all 3 with a minimal extra fee.  So our last day in Belize turned out doing all the things we wanted to do before we left.    We started out with visiting the Howler Monkeys which was a stop at a person's house who took us along a beautiful walk in the jungle calling for the monkeys.  There is a family of 5 that live in the trees and sure enough, they all showed up.   He gave us bananas and told us to stand with our backs next to a branch and they came down to grab the bananas.  We got excellent photos and one even had a tiny baby with her. Then we headed to the Altun Ha ruins but not before Jeff stopped to grab a Biliken beer.  Altun Ha was breathtaking.  Be sure to wear a hat and comfortable shoes if you want to climb up to the top of the ruins to see the whole area.   Then we headed to a roadside restaurant where we had a great lunch with roasted chicken, coleslaw and rice & beans which was deliciously homemade.  Our last stop was the Nohoch Che’en Caves.  Be sure to wear sturdy water shoes with a thick tread as you walk over a lot of rocks. Jeff changed into his swim attire and guided us through the caves carrying our tubes and pulling us along in the water.  He was so informative pointing out everything in the cave including the small insect bats.  After our tour, Jeff let us stop to get one final beer before taking us back to our hotel.  Jeff has led the most amazing life and does so much for his community in Belize.  The best part of the tour was talking to him and getting to know all about Belize.  He has been doing the tour for almost 20 years and definitely made the trip more interesting with his wealth of knowledge at every stop.  Thanks to Percy, the owner, for allowing us to change our pick up spot and go to Altun Ha which wasn't on our initial itinerary.  We will definitely come back and use Royal Belizean Adventures again. Thank you!

Great family excursion combo of monkeys, jungle and caves - This was an amazing combo excursion for us and our 4 kids (8, 11, 14 and 16). Percy was our guide and the hour drive to the sanctuary flew by because he taught us so much about his beautiful country. He even was able to engage our ADHD kids lol. When we arrived at the sanctuary we met Robert, our guide for the sanctuary. He took about 20 mins to show us the museum and explain the history of the sanctuary. He had so much knowledge about the flora, fauna and animals and taught us along our trek. We also enjoyed his singing! He was great with the Howler monkeys and we were able to interact with them, which was an incredible experience. One of our children is on the spectrum so I was a little concerned about them being too loud, but they were not shrill, so he was fine. There are a couple vendors and they are not associated with each other, so some were incredibly overpriced and others were fair. A small painting of a Howler monkey was $70! Some took credit and others only cash. Percy then took us on to the cave tubing. Paying the extra for the private/VIP portion because it is a hike through the jungle which was not a problem at all. In fact it was absolutely gorgeous and lush. But, everyone else had to carry their own tubes. My 8 and 11 year old would not have made it! Our tubes were waiting for us where you enter. So we enjoyed taking pictures and seeing the beautiful jungle. Pepe (Eddy) was our tour guide and he was so much fun! The kids loved him and we learned so much about the caves and the history of the area. There are a lot of vendors at the entrance which will encourage you to stop at their booth, but they did not chase you down at least. The unable and watermelon drinks were great and Percy left us keep them in the car to refill afterward. The tubing through the caves was gorgeous! You are tied together, so you can just lay back and relax, which was nice not to worry about my kids being separated. I can get closterphobic but there were no tight spots so it was not a problem. There ride was gentle with occasional spots you had to lift up not too touch but he warned us and it was only a few spots. Afterward we enjoyed lunch at the restaurant on site. It was chicken and rice and all my kids loved it. Percy than took us back at the cruise terminal. My only caution is to be very cautious of time because our last tendor boat left at 4 for Royal Caribbean Enchantment. We made it by 3 mins! It’s very confusing with ship time and local time, so make sure you are attentive to that! We did not realize until they told us as we boarded it was the last boat! The excursion was just amazing though and all of our guides were outstanding.

UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE - I truly can’t recommend Royal Belizean Adventures enough. They truly went through extra mile for us starting even before we left our home when I emailed Percy and requested kayaks instead of tubing and he made that happen for us by quickly answering any questions I had via email. Our guide Joe was so nice and knowledgeable about his country! We throughly enjoyed the drive with him telling us about everything we were passing and about the history of Belize. He also acted as our personal photographer the whole trip! He didn’t have to do that but I am so grateful he did, you know how it is, you’re always taking the pictures but you’re never in them. Not this time! He took us to the Belize sign and took lots of photos of us, he took photos of us interacting with the howler monkeys, kayaking through the caves, and just captured so many memories for my husband and I. Everything we did was unforgettable and between Joe and Percy we truly had the most wonderful experience, and Should I find myself in Belize again I will be booking with Royal Belizean Adventures.

Could have been great - The tour guide, Jeff, was cordial, polite, super fit and full of information. He really knew his stuff and made us very comfortable. The downfall was in our opinion, to no fault of Jeff, but due to a tour booking immediately after ours, the pace of this excursion was rushed the entire time and we felt it. Very fast driving, nearly a trot like pace the 1.5 miles to the tubing site, very short time at the Howler monkey location, etc. My recommendation to the tour company would be to further space the tours apart so that it wasn't so rushed.
