Highlights
  • Xunantunich - Xunantunich is located in the Cayo District near the village of San Jose Succotz, just a few miles from San Ignacio Town. A hand-cranked ferry will take you across the Mopan River. From the other side, it’s a mile uphill to the site, accessible on foot or by vehicle.

From the parking lot, we will proceed to El Castillo, one of the three largest Maya Temples in Belize and the tallest structure at this site, standing 130 feet above plaza level. Climbing to the top offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area. El Castillo is notable for its series of stucco friezes on the exterior, depicting stories and events from Maya mythology.

  • San Ignacio - We will stop at Hode’s Place for lunch, one of the best local restaurants in San Ignacio Town.
  • Blue Hole National Park - The tour begins with a 5-minute walk from the parking lot down some stairs to the Blue Hole cenote. Here, you can enjoy a refreshing swim, take photographs, or experience the Belizean rainforest.

The inland Blue Hole (cenote) is located in Blue Hole National Park on the Hummingbird Highway. It was formed by the collapse of an underground limestone cave. The river that originally flowed through the cavern still runs through the cave system, forming a sapphire-colored pool at the bottom of the sinkhole. The depression is about 100 feet deep and 300 feet in diameter, with the actual blue hole at the base of the depression having a depth of about 25 feet.

Great experience, recommended! - Used Julian Transfers & Tours for the transfers between the airport & Hopkins as well as for tours to a Cacao Farm & Chocolate Factory and to the Mayan Ruins/Blue Hole. Couldn't be happier with the experience! The drivers and guides were very punctual, polite and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Belize Trip - The driver was very nice and we had a great time. We had a great lunch and were delighted to see a toucan in a nearby tree. We also used your service for transport and it was fine.

Amazing Tours, Awesome tour guides 😀 - Where do I begin? I was googling different tours that picked up in Hopkins since that’s where I was staying and I came across Julian’s transfers and tours. Every tour guide we had was amazing and Julian himself was awesome. From being very responsive with emailing me back right away to accommodating me with whatever tours I wanted to add .We did the Mayans ruins and blue hole tour as well as the chocolate tour. We also did horseback riding and snorkeling. Reginald was awesome with the horseback riding. We had such a blast! And the captains of the snorkeling boat were so patient with me as I was scared to snorkel since it was my first time. I highly recommend Julian’s tours -they arrived on time to pick us up and were very informative and fun! Thanks Julian!

The driver was a half... - The driver was a half hour late and the van did not have any signage showing the tour operator and had a cracked windshield. The driver was pleasant. It took 2 hours to get to the ruins from Hopkins but then we only spent about a half hour at the ruins. I think our tour guide at the ruins could have done a better job of explaining things. Although I am glad we saw the ruins, I don't think it is worth it to spend so little time there and the cost of this trip was not cheap. The blue hole was neat but nothing spectacular.
