Additional Information

Transnistria has preserved a lot of Soviet monuments, equipment, attractive places and facts that will be interesting for everyone to learn. Visiting Transnistria is like traveling on a time machine – not much has changed there since nowadays. The cities of Bender and Tiraspol, keep many soviet monuments, with a specific architecture. You should come to Transnistria especially if you’re from a country that was never a part of the Soviet Bloc or controlled by it. It will help you understand what the daily reality was like for millions of people in the Soviet Union. You’ll visit practically almost fully conserved ‘museum’ of Soviet times. Depending on the number of bookings, sometimes the tour could be private or shared with small groups, up to 8-10 people. But from our experience most of our groups are 3-4 or 5 people.

Great tour and guide - Great guide and lots of interesting sites. The two Soviet style restaurants were excellent. The van was a bit cramped though and should have been a nicer vehicle for a full day tour.

You should visit…really…great tour. - This was a perfect visit to Transnistria. Our guide Slava was extremely well informed about all aspects of the visit and the countries and their histories, and he worked very hard to ensure we were satisfied in every way. Also, Transnistria is not some scary awful place. The border takes one minute, the Russian “peacekeepers” are most non existent (we saw maybe 4) and the people are very friendly and working very hard to beautify and develop the country. A really great way to spend a day when in Chisinau…you won’t regret it.

Beautiful tour! - Beautiful daily visit to Transnistria, an interesting and fascinating place due to its history, absolutely not to be missed during a trip to Moldova. The tour begins with a visit to the Bender fortress and then the city center, where we will stop in a super characteristic pub, where time seems to have stopped in the Soviet Union. We then continue with lunch in a lovely guesthouse, where it will be possible to taste traditional dishes. In the afternoon we move to Tiraspol, the capital of Transnistria, a city full of charm and monuments that seem to take us back in time. I highly recommend this tour, Transnistria is absolutely safe. Special thanks to our guide, Tatiana, super professional and helpful, who also made us visit some points of interest not included in the tour!

Not much impressive - Actually this tour is quite interesting, but the problem is the weather. Long walking in the hot and dry afternoon sunshine made me so exhausted! The tour guide is informative and energetic but sometimes he made me feel some discriminations.
