Great fishing experience with lunch - Our fishing guide Casper was fantastic. He took us to all of the good fishing spots and gave information about the area as we rode around. It was so exciting to catch many fish and check the crab pots. After fishing the chef did an amazing job cooking our catch. We had a great lunch including local fare. Highly recommend.

Our catch of the day was our best meal in Norway - Great day. Our guide was a true expert on the area and fishing. Out boat caught a bunch of mackerel and a really big cod (that got away at the last minute). The meal prepared for us after with the fresh fish was the best meal we had in Norway! Even with the rain, they gave us the right gear to keep us warm and the weather didn’t bother us at all.

Good time on the water, rain or shine - In typical Bergen weather ranging from pouring rain to bits of sunshine, Casper made sure we have a wonderfull time! Upon our return to the dock the chef (apologies, dont remember his name) was ready for us with a hardy and very tasty lunch.

Fun experience for the family with very friendly guides - Nice drive to an island called Syltøy. Hosts were very accommodating to make sure all guests were having a good time despite the rainy and cold weather. Food afterwards was excellent fish stew, mackerel that was caught on the trip and Norwegian waffles for desert.

Best trip - Everyone was amazing! The experience was worth every penny, we caught tons of fish & learned how to clean them. Vladimir was a great captain! 10/10 recommend

A great day on the water - We knew we were going to be jet-lagged when we flew to Bergen so we arrived a day early for a cruise departure. We set up an activity that should be fun but wasn’t particularly mentally or physically taxing. We chose a half-day of fishing with Fijord Expedition. We met Courtney at a central location and six of us were driven in a van to a small harbor about 40 minutes outside Bergen. We were given a safety briefing by our assigned Captain, Michael, a very knowledgeable and likable German. We were all provided with rain suits for either the possibility of rain or fish parts and pieces flying about the boat (we hoped). We took an outboard boat out from the harbor and did some drop fishing in various spots in a large inner bay off the ocean. There were only four of us in the boat so everyone had their own fishing rigs. We fished for about 2-1/2 hours, caught some herring, mackerel and one cod, and returned to the marina where Michael and another captain cleaned our catch on their dock. Then one of the captains’ family helped prepare and cook our dinner, (very) fresh fish, boiled potatoes, some lettuce salad and dessert of freshly-prepared waffles. Overall, we had a relaxing, satisfying half-day with Michael and the shore crew. Their English was excellent and they operated safe, modern vans and vessels in protected waters. The fresh fish was simply and extraordinarily prepared. This was the perfect activity to de-stress from our long travel to beautiful Bergen. I’d recommend Fijord Expedition to anyone wanting a low-impact outside activity for individuals or families.

Wonderful Day out! Highly reccomended - What a Day! We were picked up promptly and taken to another harbour from Bergen city centre. It was so nice to see the scenery on the way and learn lots from our driver who was super friendly. This is a Family run business which makes it very special. On this occasion we met the whole family that couldn't do enough for us. Very personal experience and wonderful people. We were shown how to prepare our catch and it was great to eat it so fresh after the catch. What was prepared was so tasty, they even had homemade elderflower lemonade and their own apple juice that they make. Just wonderful. Can't recommend this trip enough.
