Highlights
  • Reichstag Building - Berlin’s renowned Reichstag serves as the meeting place for the Bundestag (“Federal Assembly”), the lower house of Germany’s national legislature. The glass dome, added by Norman Foster in the 1990s, has become a symbol of modern Germany’s dedication to democratic governance.
  • Brandenburg Gate - The Brandenburg Gate is an 18th-century neoclassical monument commissioned by Prussian king Frederick William II. This iconic gate has witnessed many significant events in Berlin’s history, from Napoleon’s victorious entry to Ronald Reagan’s Cold War speech.
  • Museum Island - A unique collection of buildings on Spreeinsel (Spree Island) in central Berlin. It includes five major Berlin museums established under the Prussian rulers, such as the Pergamon, Neues Museum (New Museum), and Alte Nationalgalerie (Old National Gallery).
  • Potsdamer Platz - A historic square revitalized since the fall of the Berlin Wall, now a center for entertainment, dining, and shopping.
  • Unter den Linden - Unter den Linden is a grand boulevard stretching from the City Palace to the Brandenburg Gate, named after the linden trees that line it. It was Berlin’s counterpart to Paris’s Champs-Élysées.
  • Tiergarten - The Tiergarten is Berlin’s most famous inner-city park, featuring elegant gardens and impressive statues.
  • The Holocaust Memorial - Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe - Designed by architect Peter Eisenman and opened in 2005, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe consists of 2711 concrete slabs of varying heights, creating a powerful and reflective labyrinth.
  • Hackescher Markt - The vibrant Hackescher Markt Square offers a glimpse into the preserved Art Nouveau courtyards of pre-war Berlin.

smart, fun and personalized Berlin tour - We loved our private tour in Berlin with Lee. He was so smart, interesting and funny. He also asked us questions about what we wanted to see and made a few pivots on the tour to cover all of the things that he thought we would enjoy. Enthusiastic and informative - I'll be sure to pass along his info to all friends visiting Berlin.

Excellent tour - Our guide, Lee, had an incredible amount of knowledge and good humor. I was worried that the level might not be up to my history buff cousin but she couldn't have been more pleased. We would wholeheartedly recommend this tour. Just fantastic in every way.

Great way to get to know Berlin - We toured with Insight Cities in Prague this summer and we loved their small groups and deep discussions. This introduction tour in Berlin was just as good. Very educated guide who was happy to answer all our questions on any topic. We truly got to know Berlin in a new way even though it was not our first trip. Thank you!
