A necessity for anyone seeking to understand one of Germany’s most crucial historical happenings.

On over 100 screens featuring authentic film footage from 1945 to 1990 - Germany’s most joyous day - the unification!

Great experience - Small but nice! Lots of new information about the former GDR, such as the building of the Wall and the role of Khrushchev. Excellent research and lovingly implemented.

Well worth a visit - I would definitely recommend a visit here. The exhibition takes you through the pre-wall, wall building, living through and the fall of the wall. It is extremely well put together. You need to take your time to listen to all the contributors. It was quite emotional and touching. I have not seen this material elsewhere. Outside you can see painted section of the wall but we just had a short look at that-the museum was more interesting to us. On the day we visited it was around 30 degrees and it was a bit hot inside. They did have some air conditioning on and windows open but there were a lot of screens heating it up and it was a bit toasty. Nonethless - we weren't put off and took our time to absorb it all. I cannot truly understand some of the less positive reviews because ultimately this is all accounts from individual people affected by many aspects of the wall.

Best wall experience - This is near the large section of wall still standing, not by Checkout Charlie. It's really great but only in English /German, I think. Really gives a perspective on the impact of the wall on the German people. Great value for money. Includes lots of filmed footage & interviews with residents/soldiers of that time.

Quite a small museum but good telling of history - The expectation for this museum was not very high, but it was a positive surprise. Tells the story through many videos with a lot of personal stories. You can spend 1 hour here and the price is 12 euros, which is on the high end. If you are in the area it is worth the visit

Informative - Quite interesting place. Informative to walk around for an hour and so and recall the events of the building of the wall and its ultimate fall. It's self guided. Some of the monitors were not working and so 4 stars.

A taste of reality - Quite immersive, I appreciated the minimal effort made to reconstruct some typical scenarios of the historical period, I believe they help the visitor to taste a minimum of the sensations that could be felt at that moment. The visit is quite short and pleasant, after visiting the East Side Gallery, it absolutely makes sense to stop by.

Neither fu nor fa - It is a small, tendentious museum that is located on the second floor above a pirate-themed restaurant, that's how hidden it was. Only if you know absolutely nothing about the wall and Berlin can you contribute something, but it is very biased.

Not so worth it - The museum isn’t really worth it. Is even more expensive than some of the museums from the Museums Island! It consists mostly on videos that you can easily find on the internet… It is also not so tourist friendly since there’s no audio guides for people from other countries. Even some of the texts are only in german.. Considering the museum is beside the Wall they should consider having more languages available… The elevator is only for staff use. For some disabled people it’s difficult to get upstairs like it was in our case. The only good thing was the staff that was super friendly and polite.

Basic museum in Berlin - While the museum ticket is affordable and displays a ton of information, it was quite simple. It is located in a walk-up building and mostly shows videos and texts with information about the topic (that you could frankly get on the internet).

Only interesting for people who experienced the wall - No introduktion to anything, only text all through the museum combined with pictures. Would have been better to read a book than go to this museum.
