Great introduction to Istanbul - This was our first day in Istanbul. It is HUGE - so it was so nice to get a lay of the land from Cumali. He was super informative and very fun. I highly recommend this tour and Cumali. - you won't regret it. Oh - and do not eat before you go - there is a lot of food!

Best food tour I’ve been on! - The food was all very different and exotic. The guide was knowledgeable and funny! We went to both daises of Istanbul and tried all sorts of stuff!

Very good food tour - Great idea to take this tour that includes Asia and Europe sides. All the food was good and the guide was friendly and very helpful. We all enjoyed (family with 2 teenagers) the walk, the food and the boat trip.

Unique eats with friendly guide! - Atahan was a great host! Very knowledgeable about Turkish food & history. We had a really nice time talking to him - felt like we were hanging out with a friend by the end. He also helped us get Tram tickets and which line to take.

Maybe the best food tour we've taken (of 10) - Burak was an incredible guide. Street foods, great variety, introduction to the lifestyle of Turkish commuters, background on the dishes, advice on using the ferries, plus much info about life in Istanbul, Turkish culture, and more.

Great Food Tour - My friend and I booked the private food tour so we could move at our own pace without holding up a group. We really enjoyed the tour. We had a great variety of food. We enjoyed seeing the Asian side of Istanbul with a guide and trying everything from a lettuce wrap (great start on European side) to fish to pickle juice to great baclava.

BOOK THIS FOOD TOUR - Salih was the absolute best tour guide I’ve ever come across. He was super knowledgeable and friendly and took us to some amazing off the radar local food places. We had been in Istanbul for a few days before this food tour and felt that we ate the same things almost every time so Salih did a fantastic job showing us some awesome new choices! Would definitely recommend.

Great experience! - Got introduced to a well assorted collection of traditional Turkish food in many interresting areas of the city. Good choice to include both the european and asian side. Our guide, Burak was very nice and insightfull. He shared knowledge both on Turkish food, culture and history.

Salih was a great food tour guide! - Salih was our tour guide, and he was amazing! Very nice man who was knowledgeable about local food and culture, and it was easy to understand his English. He was accommodating when we had special requests, and made sure we made it back to our hotel safely. Ask for him by name, and hopefully he’ll be available. I liked this particular tour because it did not take all day (4 hours), and we could sample food on the European side, as well as take a ferry and sample the Asian side. The only issue was dealing with the coordinator, with minor lack of communication. With the other tours we did, the coordinator reached out to me to confirm everything, but not this one. I had to reach out to him, but it did all work out great, and I would highly recommend Istanbul Food Journey.

A city break enjoying the culture, food and people. - Lots of good quality fresh food at very reasonable prices. Not focusing on an alcohol culture. Lots to see and do.
