The to-go tour for turkish wine - The trip is amazing! Our guide took us to 3 different wineries outside Istanbul: visiting the vineyard, seeing the wine grapes, visiting the tanks and barrels used to make wine... and most importantly the wine tasting! Turkish wines are much better than what I expected. Apart from the more well known grape varieties such as syrah or cabernet sauvignon they also make wines using local grapes such as kalecik karasi - something u don't get to find easily outside of turkey. And of course we got a few bottles home as well haha! And the lunch at one of the winery is great. Seated at a table with a view over the vineyard, we enjoyed local delicacies with a nice glass of wine 🍷 If you visit Turkey and you like wine, join this tour. You will not regret it.

Sipping on rosé with a gorgeous view - As a solo traveler this was a fantastic experience. The tour began being picked in Istanbul, there Goda greeted the group and made sure we were all comfortable for the ride in a car equipped with AC and enough of water - super important on a hot summer day! During the ride the very knowledgeable sommelier Andrea talked about the area we were exploring and gave us insight into what’s to come. At the first winery, the owner Akin welcomed us and we started with a tour of the winery. His enthusiasm for his wines really makes this stop special. I could spend days there just talking to him about his winery and the process. We had a wine tasting with 8 different types of wines and then to top it off a barrel tasting with a quiz at the end! Next winery was Arda, there we started with a three course lunch accompanied with wine. I had a steak as a main course and it was perfectly cooked to my liking, and I can be picky about that. After lunch we had a winery tour and tasting. The scenery over the wine yard is amazing! All the wines I tasted were so good that I ended up buying as much wine as I am allowed to bring back into the EU. My bag ended up being a bit overweight on my way back home but now on colder evenings here in Sweden I can have a sip of rosé and think about memories of this tour and warmer days ❤️ Thank you Goda and Andrea for making the tour extra special and I didn’t feel alone even though I attended the tour as a solo traveler ❤️

A day of wine tasting through Thrace 🌻❤️🍷 - So nice to be able to visit wineries on a day trip from Istanbul! A group of friends and I visited two wineries on this trip where we got to hear directly from the winemakers at Gurbuz and Arda vineyards. We did tours of the process at both and had a lovely lunch at Arda before our tasting. And of course we tasted our way through the wines with Turkish wine expert, Andrea (I mean, she literally wrote the book!) Our transport and reservations were handled through Goda with Vines & Pearls so we could just sit back and enjoy the day. Having the air-conditioned van was also convenient for those of us who purchased wines to take home! It’s a long day, though i loved watching the beautiful fields of sunflowers we passed on the way there and back. You might even wish (like I did!) to be spending the night at one of the wineries to add a second day to visit more of them. :) I’ve taken lots of notes and hope to get back for another visit ASAP. Great choice! - It was an acertive choice to take this tour! We visited 3 different wineries outside Istanbul and got to try so many native grapes. At each winery we had like 5 different wines to try! Also the lunch at the winery was one of the best parts, delightful. Great value for what we paid, highly recommended

Great experience! - My girlfriends and I took a wine tasting trip from Istanbul to Tekiraga region. it was super easy and well organized. the drive to the wineries took us around 2.5 hours and we visited 3 different places, in each of them we had a tasting, there was delicious lunch and small bites included. Our host was a delight! Andrea is a professional wine expert, who also wrote a book on wines. We learnt a lot about local grapes and also got few nice bottles to take home! I enjoyed it very much and would recommend

Stunning Experience - Me and my wife had an amazing wine-tasting experience. I wouldn't consider myself a wine expert, but this tour provided so many interesting facts and tips on how to enjoy my wine more. Definitely recommended for all, who enjoy a glass of wine and want would like to enjoy it even more.

100% recommended! Andrea is the best - This was such a memorable trip! My friends and I had the best time with Andrea during our Turkish wine excursion. We started the day getting picked up by the driver and Andrea from Istanbul. Both greeting us with a big welcoming smile. It all felt super relaxed and warm from the start. My friends and I are quite into wines, so we booked this trip to learn something new that day. Andrea was super knowledgeable and answered all of our (many!) questions, and shared history and current local facts about local cuisine & lifestyle too. It felt extra special to walk around the wineries having her alongside us as an expert, and during the trip we learned she wrote a book on Turkish wines too. She was never boasting with the things she knew, but really was there to make sure we had a great time and got an insider-view on Turkish wines. Once we were dropped of again at our hotel we hugged our goodbye’s and got some great recommendations for restaurants. Truly having made a new friend in Turkey with whom we share a passion for wines! We honestly can only recommend this tour! Wish we could go on a wine trip with Andrea in more destinations :-)!!
