This Hibiscus farm was amazing! - This was a wonderful experience! Who knew hibiscus were edible! Looking for something different to do on the Big Island with family. We were educated, enchanted, and nourished! We came on a beautiful day on the Hilo side of the Island receiving a private tour and tasting. Owner Susan was knowledgeable and personable. Will definitely be returning with future visitors! Mahalo!

Wonderful Experience and Tour - My friend and I had the pleasure of getting a tour from Susan. It was educational, fun and yummy! The tour concluded with samples of different ways to add hibiscus to recipes. One thing that could be improved is the signage. The signs are small and the arrows were not helpful. We drove past it twice.

A yummy visit! - Susan, our guide, was a delight. She share her and her husband’s journey on the farm to date. The workings of the hydroponic farm was interesting and inspiring…. If only I was younger. We hope to check in on our next visit.

Wow wow wow… Simply Amazing and unique. - What an incredible experience. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in something truly unique on the island. I learned so much from the guided tour. We were able to taste samples of amazing delicate creations of the flowers on the tour. My pallet has never tasted anything so different. It truly makes me want to grow my own and harvest them for my dinner table. The host was simply delightful and full of great enthusiasm for her life’s passion. Five stars definitely!

Informative and Delicious; Makes a Great Gift! - Susan was kind enough to set up a private tour as part of a 70th birthday celebration for my mother. I appreciated her timely response to my inquiry, and flexibility with the itinerary we were setting up. This tour is low on the physical intensity scale, and, at times, it felt more like neighbors getting together and conversing rather than strangers visiting a farm, which was perfect for my group. Susan was welcoming and happy to share the history of the farm and its journey to producing edible hibiscus. The 90 minutes was pleasant, informative, and over all too quickly. While I’ve been drinking hibiscus tea for years, this was my first time tasting raw hibiscus and the other hibiscus products produced by the farm. Susan and her husband have done a wonderful job of creating tasty items, and developing a selection of recipes using their hibiscus tea, preserve and syrup, for visitors to try at home. These are delightful and delicious foods that I will be sending to friends and family as gifts. I look forward to returning to the farm for additional products, and to see how it grows and changes.
