Olivine Crystals - The trip to Green Sands Beach was amazing. We road on the shoreline a while just before we arrived at the beach. The view was spectacular. We didn’t see turtles at the beach, nor were we able to get in, due to the rough surf, but just seeing the beach and hearing how the crystals are formed was a site we will never forget. The views were breathtaking. A helmet, goggles, a gator and gloves are provided, but expect to get hot and dusty. You will ride 12 miles over dirt and rocky trails, so you will get dirty. If you don’t bring water, the guide will put a water jug in the compartment of your quad. Bring your own snacks and there is a bathroom “level 1” just before you turn down the road to get to the adventure (go then, or you will have to hold it). There is also a sweet bread bakery and pizza to enjoy directly across fro Ace Hardware. We have ridden on several trails from Tennessee to Florida and this was the best guided tour we have ever ridden. Remember….it is an adventure and YOU make it fun!!! This is one of 4 beaches in the entire world.

Best tour guide - The green sand beach was beautiful, the trek down was not too hard. Although we did not see and turtles at this location, our guide Michael took us to another spot to see the turtles. Loved having Michael as a guide!

Best adventure ever! - Absolutely spectacular!! The scenary was stunning and the ATV riding was exhilarating. Vicky and Wesley were wonderful, wam and supportive. They were committed to ensuring a remarkable, safe, once in a lifetime adventure. It was truly wonderful.

Green Sand Beach - Vicki and her husband are wonderful. Words cannot express how awesome they truly are. We got the time wrong and they agreed to inconvenience themselves and take us out. We were novice riders and had to go much slower than usual so it took us longer. When we got to the green sand beach my kids were too afraid to navigate walking down. It's a combination of ladder like stairs and climbing down lava rocks. Vicki really wanted my kids to see green sand so she took us to another bay where they could hold green sand in their hands. Definitely wear old clothes that you do not mind getting dirty. They supply helmets, goggles, and gators. The road to the green sand beach has many beautiful views. It is bumpy and sometimes you are going up or down an incline. We had one rider with experience on flat land and one rider with no prior experience. It was a little challenging for us at times but with Vicki's patience and guidance we made it. We wished we were more experience before riding the trail to the green sand beach. In the end, it was definitely worth it!

GREAT Trip - The tour was great and the tour guide was awesome. We got lucky in that we had the tour guide to ourselves. ATVs were top of the line and very sturdy / durable. He stopped at a couple locations with some information that was nice. The green sand beaches were amazing and on the way back he took us to a spot to watch turtles which was also a great experience. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Adventure filled excursion!! - This excursion was amazing! I haven’t rode an ATV before the way we rode on this tour! I felt like Laura Croft from Tomb Raider and I swear I felt more powerful after this excursion! This was a true adventure! I actually feel like I can do anything now and am braver because of this tour. The green sand beach was amazing. The views from the ride of the ocean were incredible! Whales were everywhere you looked! We even got to meet Mr. Blue the parrot fish 🐠! We saw sea turtles too! Our guide Vickie so much fun. Highly recommend this tour while you are on the Big Island! Once in a lifetime - This IS an adventure. You should have experience with quads and feel comfortable with a rough ride. We had a great time, but cautious people probably shouldn’t take this trip. The beach is totally amazing, but not snorkel ready. Waves were huge this day we went but even if was calmer I can’t see snorkeling here. Go to the bathroom BEFORE you drive to check in. No bathrooms on site or along the way.

ATV ride South Hawaii - Our guides were helpful and on top of things. Be prepared for outback style rough terrain for a portion of the ride. Beautiful views. Green sand beach is fairly secluded and the surf is generally strong. Note: All of our correspondence said to arrive at 7am, but I guess we were supposed to arrive at 6:30. I would update all info regarding the arrival time. Mahalo!
